Reconnect (Izaya Orihara x reader)

Yeah so here's a real update, I've been working on this story for a while now and I'll make covers for this one and the one-shot one so I hope you'll enjoy this story as much as I enjoyed writing it!

(You're like five years old)

"Y/n, are you excited for today?" Your mother asks.

You shake your head.

You and your parents were going to meet a friend of your father's.

You arrive in front of an apartment, your father rings the doorbell.

You were a bit nervous about meeting them.

The door opens and reveals a man, a woman, and a boy.

"Fuji, please come in. You must be his wife and daughter." The man says as you and your parents make your way into the apartment

"Yes, my name is Chiasa, our daughter's name is Y/n." Your mom says.

"Well please to finally meet you, my name is Shirou, this is my wife and son," Shirou says.

"My name is Kyouko, and this is our son Izaya," Kyouko says.

"Look Y/n they have a son the same age as you, maybe you guys can be friends." Your mom says to you.

You hide behind her, wary of Izaya.

"Come on dear, say hello to Y/n-chan." Izaya's mother says as she gently pushes Izaya forward.

"You too Y/n." Your mother says as she does the same to you.

You and Izaya were currently standing in front of each other clearly uncomfortable.

You decide to speak first, "Hello, nice to meet you Izaya-kun."

"Yeah, nice to meet you too, Y/n-chan," Izaya says back.

"Oh I know, why don't you take Y/n-chan to your room so you can play with your toys." Izaya's mother says.

Izaya nods his head.

He then grabs your hand and leads the way to his room.

"You don't have a lot of toys." You say.

"I don't like playing with toys much, I like to read," Izaya says.

"That's kinda weird for a kid." You say.

"You think so?" Izaya asks.

"Well, not really, it's just I've never met a kid who likes to read more than play." You say.

"Well, it's all I really do when I'm with my grandparents," Izaya says.

"Grandparents? Don't you live with your mom and dad?" You ask.

"Yeah, but they're always working so I end up going with my grandparents." He says.

"Oh, that must be lonely. Oh, I know! How about the next time they're gone, I'll come over and play with you." You say.

Izaya seems surprised by this and then starts laughing.

"You're interesting Y/n-chan." He says.

"Really? I don't really see why." You say.

"Well out of the kids that are at school you're the first to say you'd want to play with me." He says.

"Oh, then I promise that I'll be your friend forever, I'll play with you and help you out when you need it!" You say holding out your pinkie.
