Accidentally Married

Ben and Miranda have been living together for 4 months now. They moved into a 3 bedroom house that they are renting, Until they find one that they want to buy. It was 3 days before Christmas so Ben, Miranda, and Tuck were making holiday arts and crafts on the floor by the Christmas tree with their Christmas music filling the air. The little family of 3 had on matching pajamas and Miranda laughed at what was supposed to be Ben's reindeer.

"Baby what is that?" Miranda laughed loudly causing Tuck to giggle too.

" I made Rudolph." Ben said scratching his head and laughing.

"Okay if I turned my head to the side and squint real hard I can see Rudolph."

Ben looked over to see what Miranda made. It was a doctor elf. It was cute with a little stethoscope made out of string and a peppermint. Miranda looked up when she heard the doorbell ring, Ben stood on his feet.

"Hey baby I got it you finish your reindeer, I have to check the cookies anyway." Miranda said pecking his lips.

Miranda pulled the front door open and was dumb founded, looking into the eyes of both of her parents. She swallowed hard staring at them. She started to speak but nothing came out.

"Hey, baby who's at the door, Ben said jogging behind her."

"Benjamin Warren, meet William and Elena Bailey, my Parents. Mom and Dad this is my uh Husband Benjamin Warren.

"Husband." William and Elena said simultaneously.

"Yes." Miranda said nervously.

"Why don't you come in." Ben said as he and Miranda stepped back Letting them walk through.

"Miranda what- why?" Her daddy started to say but so much was running through his mind. He didn't know what he wanted to say.

"we can talk about this later." Miranda said going to take the cookies out of the oven.

"Tuck's in the living room make your selves comfortable." Ben said nervously

"I'll just take your bags to the guest room, to get them out the way" Miranda moved towards the front door where her parents had deposited of their luggage on their way in. She stopped for a second to breathe before she turned round and headed to the spare room with Ben Behind her.

"You didn't tell your parents about me?"

Ben said shutting the door behind him.

"I was going to, but it never came up." Miranda said whispering.

"Wow."

"Don't act like you did."

"I told my parents about you and Tuck."

"You did?" Miranda said raising an eyebrow.

"Okay I may have left off the part about you being my wife."

Miranda pushed him and laughed "you had me feeling bad."

"But they are aware that I have a beautiful surgeon girlfriend, with a wonderful son."

"Let's make up this bed so we can get back out there."

Miranda and Ben made up the bed in the guest room. Miranda grabbed fresh wash cloths and towels sitting them on the edge of the bed.

"Ben I don't know what to say to them?"

"Let them start and just answer everything they want to know."

"Okay." Miranda said letting out a staggered breath.

Miranda walked out into the living room holding Ben's hand. She saw Tuck sitting in her mom's lap playing with her dad. Miranda sat down in the chair directly across from them.
