Once I pulled into the drive way I saw Marcus come out of the house, with his arms crossed over his torso, as he looked into the truck at Jet.

This should be fun.

I got out and made my way over to Jet’s door. He already had his door open, trying to get out. I tried to grab onto his arm to steady him, “Let go of me! I’m not some weak pup!”

I quickly let go, backing off as he got out. I reached into the back of the truck and got his two suit cases. Jet closed the door and looked at me seeing which way he should walk.

“Um…you see that man up there? That’s where you will be staying. He’s my roommate Marcus, he’s human so don’t hurt him.”

“Don’t tell me what to do mutt.”

We walked slowly up to Marcus. I tried to make it seem like I wasn’t waiting on Jet, but I think he could tell because his back stiffened as his pace increased. When we got to the door Marcus and Jet stared each other up and down. They were pretty much the same height.

“So Sky…this is our new roommate?” Marcus said as his eyes looked towards mine.

“Yeah, I’ll show him around the apartment.” I lip whispered, be nice, hoping he understood.

Marcus stepped aside as I went through the door, along with Jet.

“So um, yeah the kitchen is to the right, living room on the left, dinner table just to the left of the kitchen, and the bedrooms down the hall. Mine is the last door, and Marcus’s is the first.”

“Where will I be sleeping then if there are just two bedrooms?”

Oh shit, I forgot.

“Um…”

“Sky’s room” Marcus spoke out, “Sky and I will bunk in my bedroom.”

Jet just snorted, and made his way to the room.

“You didn’t even bother telling your boss we live in a two bedroom apartment did you?”

“I forgot okay. You always sleep in my room anyways.”

“If I didn’t I’d be up all night with you screaming.”

I couldn’t help but blush, “Sorry.”

“Don’t worry about it Triss, besides you’re a cute cuddlier.” He said as he walked towards the kitchen, “So is he’s all and might hungry?”

“I don’t know, let me go ask.”

I walked towards my bedroom and noticed Jet just seating on my bed, looking at the ground….lost.

“Hey, you okay?”

“I’m fine. Just set the bags down. I’ll go through them later.”

I nodded my head and sat them down near the foot of the bed, “I’ll change the sheets out for you today before you sleep. Um…are you hungry?”

“No.”

“Okay…um well I’ll just leave you to it then.” I closed the door on my way out.

“So what did he say?”

“He’s not hungry Marcus. I think he might be home sick or something.”

“Psh he’ll be fine. He’ll only be here what a week or two tops then he’ll go back to his pretty little pack.”

“Marcus I don’t think you should be talking like that. He is an Alpha and I’m not that strong of a wolf, I might not be able to save you if he wants to hurt you. Can you please try to play nice?”

“Why should I? When I found you on the road broken from that other Alpha all wolves became dogs in my eyes, dogs that need to be put down if you ask me.”

“You think I should be put down…”

“No of course not Sky! I mean animals like him. You weren’t born an animal Sky you were born a person, a moral being. That thing in your room is not.”

“Marcus…please.”

We just stared at each other before he finally looked down and mumbled a fine. “I have to go into work today Triss I’ll be home around 9 tonight. If that thing tries to do anything you call me, do you understand?”

I nodded my head, and Marcus grabbed his coat and keys.

“I mean it Sky.” With that he closed the door behind him.

I looked around my little home and sighed. How was I going to live with an Alpha again? I got up and went to the hall closet to get some bed sheets for Jet. I picked up some light brown ones that, to me resembled dirt, to make him feel a little at home I guess.

I knocked on the door and waited a few before I opened it. I noticed Jet wasn’t in there. I looked around and saw the bathroom door closed. I wonder how amazed he’ll be when he sees how a toilet works.

I started to strip off the old bed sheets; I was just putting on the new ones when I heard the bathroom door open. I turned around to see Jet picking at the band-aids around his neck.

“Hey, stop picking at them. It won’t heal if you keep at it. Come seat down and let me look at it.”

Jet stared at me for a few before he listened and sat at the edge of the bed. I put down the clean sheets next to him as I examined what he has down to his throat.

It was all red and inflamed around the band-aids a sign of picking, and scratching. I saw a little blood bleed through the band-aid telling me he managed to open a scar. I slowly started to peel away the tape to show his wounds. It didn’t look that bad but you could tell it was still sensitive.

“Okay Jet I’m going to have to clean it up a bit since you picked at it okay. So I’m going to have to lick it.”

Jet just nodded his head, then titled it so I could get at it, “Let’s just hope your enzymes are good enough.”

Wow I think I’m offended.

I rolled my eyes as I bent my head down to start licking at it. It didn’t take long before it was clean, so I put a clean band-aid on it from the bathroom.

“Why didn’t you change into your wolf form to do that? It would have been a lot quicker?”

“I don’t like changing into my wolf form.”

“Why?”

“I don’t want to talk about it.”

“Tell me anyways.” I heard the slight hit if his dominate in his voice, and I was pissed.

“Jet I don’t really owe you anything, if anything it’s the other way around. I only have two rules in the house. No shifting due to other humans all around us, and don’t ever ask me about my past.”

With that I walked out of the room to angry that he would even go there and try to demand me to tell him anything about myself. All he is to me is a hobo I had to pick up, and offered to stay for a few, nothing more.

I wish Marcus didn’t have to work, he usually knows how to make things better.
