"What are you doing!" I asked repeatedly.
"I had to get your attention somehow." He said.
"Not this way Austin." He said.
He went into my bathroom and let the water from the tub, overflowing it.
"You're cleaning this up." I said.
"And you're helping me." He said.
"Dammit Austin." I said.
"Just give me a minute." I said.
I went downstairs and got the mop. I'd tell one of the maids to do it but I don't want them to tell my parents.
"Ava c'mon! We're gonna start the movie without you." Lidia said.
"Guys I'm sorry. Watch it without me. I have to clean something up." I said.
"Ava." Luke said.
"I'm sorry guys." I said.
"Well luke and I are just gonna watch it at my place. Maybe we can hang out next time Ava." Lidia said.
"Okay.I'm sorry guys." I said and they left.
I'll make sure to thank Austin for ruining my plans with them.
I went back upstairs and Austin was attempting to clean up the mess with a towel.
"I can't believe you did this." I said.
"I told you to stay here with me." He said.
"Well you got what you wanted cause they left."I said.
He smiled and took the mop from my hands.
"So how about you and I getting ice cream later on?"Austin asked.
"No."I said.
"I didn't ask if you wanted to go. I asked how you felt about it." He said.
"I have school tomorrow." I said.
"I'll just ask your mom." He said.
"No. Don't." I said.
After hours of cleaning due to us talking so much we finally got it cleaned up.
"Ava!" My mom yelled out from downstairs.
I ran downstairs and saw she came back with the Mahones. They're literally always together.
Austin came down behind me.
"Why are you all wet?" My mom asked us.
"We had a little incident with the.. sink." I couldn't say tub because they'd think wrong.
"I'll have somebody check it out." My dad said.
"Ava and I were just leaving to go get some ice cream."Austin said.
"No were not."I said.
"Go accompany him Ava. You're not staying home."My mom said.
I smiled and nodded my head. I don't want to cause a scene with the Mahones.
We walked back to Austin's house and took his car.
He drove us to plaza near our houses.
"Come."he said and took my hand.
"Austin I don't want to hold your hand."I said.
"Too bad."he said.
"What do you want?" He asked.
"Just vanilla."I said and made an attempt to let go of his hand.
He ordered our ice cream and took me back to the car.
He drove us to a hill. It was pretty far from our house.
We sat near a tree and ate our ice cream.
"Is this where you bring them all?"I said.
"What?" He asked.
"Your girls?" I asked.
"No I've only brought one of my girls." He said.
"Who?" I asked.
"You."he said.
"Don't try me Mahone." I said.
The sun was setting and it was beautiful. The palm trees made everything perfect.
We finished our ice cream and just sat there looking at the sun go down.
"Why do you even like that Luke guy anyway?"he asked.
"He's not my boyfriend." I said.
"Good cause you're mine." He said.
"Why are you so possessive over me?" I asked.
"I thought I already told you. I like to keep what's mine near me and around me." He said.
"But I'm not yours."I said.
"Oh Ava. You're so naive."he said.
He took my hand and led me to the car.
"I have to get you home. I promised your mom I'd get you home before seven and it's nine." He said.
He drove me back home and walked me to the front door.
"Goodnight Ava." He said.
"Goodnight."I said.
I opened the door and closed it immediately.
My parents were sitting in the living room.
"Ava you were told to be here before seven." My dad said.
"I'm sorry. We got stuck in traffic. Won't happen again." I said.
As I was waking up the stairs I over heard them talking about Austin.
"I just don't get the right feeling of that boy." Dad said.
"He's a very polite boy." Mom said.
"I still don't like him." Dad said.
I got into the shower to wash off.
I kept thinking about Austin. Not in a loveable way. No. I will never be his.
Heard you graduate in a week. Congrats baby. See you tomorrow.
Austin texted.
Don't call me baby. I will not be seeing you tomorrow either. Goodnight.
I texted back.
After I was ready to sleep, I heard a knock on my window.
"Austin what are you doing here?" I asked.
"I forgot to do this." He said and kissed me.
"A goodnight kiss." He said.
"You can't be here. My parents are going to kill you." I said.
"Ava!" My dad yelled out from being the door. He opened it and saw Austin.
"What're you doing here." My dad asked.
"Dad he just came to get his jacket he left here." I said.
"Austin, you need to go." My dad said.
"I understand. Goodnight." Austin said and left.
"Ava if you are sneaking out at night, you are forbidden to see him again." Dad said.
"I'm not dad. Austin's really nice." I said.
"Ava. Don't disappoint me." He said and closed the door.
See you tomorrow.
I texted Austin back and went to sleep.
