// Hey hey hey! New chapter! This was requested by @CCHernandez9 I kind of merged your request with an idea I had, so I hope it's ok that I went a little bit off the rails with this one. I hope you enjoy! //

Seven times.

That was how many times Akane had professed his love for Aoi this period. And all seven times she had turned him down. At first she had been polite about it, but after the third time you could clearly see her annoyance at Akane's persistence. Polite "No thanks" became snappish "No"s and "Just leave me alone"s. By number seven she had just opted for flat out ignoring the lovesick boy, learning that being harsh was in fact the way to get Akane to stop bothering her.

The silence wasn't long lasting though, for a few minutes later Akane was back on her with confessions, completely oblivious to Lemon's head shakes and the other boy mouthing "Abort Mission". The red head didn't seem fazed by any of his signals so it didn't surprise Lemon when Aoi finally snapped. With a loud "SHUT UP!" and a bang on the desk Akane finally retreated back to his desk.

The vice president sighed, sparing his beloved Ao-chan one last glance before turning back to his notes. The purple haired beauty had never been this way to him before. Usually she would just politely turn him down or rate how good his confession had been. Those days were always Akane's favorite, Aoi seeming happy to feed him false hope at ever having a romantic relationship with her. Letting him believe he had a chance.

Of course deep down he knew, he always had, that there really was nothing there. He could't force her to fall in love with him even if he had fallen for her. Everyone always told him to just forget her, he would never be good enough for Aoi, he might as well give up. But Akane couldn't help it, he just liked her so much. The boy's heart belonged to Aoi Akane whether he would like to admit it or not (which he ended up doing often anyway). Even after he had seen how crappy of a person she could be he still loved her.

Akane had always liked Aoi, and whether chose to express it or not you could just tell by the way he looked at her. Love was a peculiar thing and Akane was deep in it. The only problem was that Aoi had been really snappish lately. A perfect example was only a few minutes before in class. For the past two weeks she had been a complete jerk to the red head no matter what he did. The Ao-chan he knew would never act like this, but once again deep down he knew, as he always had, that she was in fact like that at heart.

Akane had probably gone a tad bit far with the confessions today, but in his defense Aoi was just perfect in every way and he wanted to fix whatever he had done to make her upset with him. Lately her attitude towards him was making Akane really sad and he was fed up with it. He'll apologize after class for what happened, and anything else he did that caused her to be so mean. Akane would definitely win her over with the gentleman act.

Akane momentarily paused his self reflecting realizing that during his daydreaming his pencil was on the floor. He had probably knocked it with his elbow at some point, or maybe it rolled off like pencils sometimes do, but how it got there was currently the least of his concerns as Aoi was now fully glaring at Akane. Gulping, the vice president looked down to see that his pencil had coincidentally rolled over to the purple haired girl's desk just out of his reach.

He was opening his mouth to ask for it back when Aoi stomped on the pencil. Everyone turned to face the pair as Akane's writing utensil snapped under Aoi's shoe, the poor thing. She gave him an innocent smile before turning away from both the pencil and shocked boy, leaving the said boy speechless and upset.

Akane slowly came back to his senses as an unreadable expression overtook his face. After a few seconds of silence the class went back to normal, oblivious of the heartbroken vice president among them.
