Todoroki Shoto.

Son of #1 Hero Endeavor.
Student of class 1-A.
One of the most powerful kids in UA.
A beloved classmate.
A kind soul.
A mentally unstable mind.
A physically abused body.
An unstable home life and family.
A mind that could shatter as easily as porcelain.

Todoroki had never told anyone at UA about his past and present struggles. He kept to himself and didn't trust anyone enough to tell them. His mental state began to degrade around the time his quirk manifested. Upon first seeing his quirk, Shoto began to panic. He was terrified. He wanted to become a Hero, that was true. But this quirk...he didn't want it. He hated it.

Training with his Father had began immediately. The constant physical and mental abuse took a heavy toll on Shoto's mind and body. But, that was only the few first cracks in Todoroki's mind. When Rei Todoroki, Shoto's mother, poured boiling water over Shoto's left eye, that had done it. She had scarred her own child for the rest of his life. And then she was forced to leave. It was like she had abandoned her family. It was then as Shoto's left side was bandaged up and tears fell from his visible eye, that he realized it.

Becoming a Hero was not Todoroki's dream. It was his Father's. Todoroki was being trained to become Endeavor's successor. Shoto wouldn't do it. Endeavor took Touya and his Mother away, and still expected Shoto to become his successor? No way. He wouldn't do it. If he was going to become a Hero, he would become his own hero.
But...he didn't even want to become a Hero anymore. He hated Hero's. He hated his quirk. But becoming a Hero was the least of Todoroki's worries. Because, after after Touya died and Rei left, something darker than All For One himself began to manifest inside the youngest Todoroki child.

Training had seemed to get even harder at U.A after the Villain's had attacked them. Twice. As if school hadn't been hard enough, now training time was doubled. As Shoto sat in Ms. Midnight's class, his whole body ached from training today. And what was worse, combat training was tomorrow. He was already tired enough, he didn't need anymore stress. Besides, Todoroki was 89% sure that he was going to be fighting up against Bakugou.

Today was Midnight explaining the project. Apparentally, she wanted their Hero costumes to be upgraded. Which to Todoroki wasn't very important. Propping up his arm on his desk, Todoroki laid his heavy head in the palm of his hand. His eyes slowly began to close, beginning to drift into the pitiless bottom of slumber.

Shoto was walking down the hall, yawning. He had just woken up. It was early morning, foggy outside, the weather slightly cold. Shoto suddenly paused, hearing his Mother's voice coming from the kitchen. From what he could hear, Rei was talking with her Mom.
"I can't take it anymore. Everyday, the children seem more like him!" Came Rei Todoroki's shaky voice, echoed by the acoustics in the room.
Stepping closer, Shoto peeked into the kitchen through the cracked open door. Shoto listened in to what his Mother was discussing.

"And Shoto," Rei suddenly gasped, "that child's left side sometimes is just so unbareable to me! All I can see is his Father! I can't raise him anymore, I want to run away!"
Her harmful words broke Shoto's little heart. How could she say such horrible things?
"M-Mama?" Shoto's tiny voice called out, "What are you saying?"

Rei froze, slowly taking the phone away from her ear. He wasn't supposed to hear that..
The shiny red tea kettle on the stove began to emit a horrible whistling noise. It rang inside Rei's skull like bees around a hive. Rei dropped the phone to the floor, her Mother's worried voice calling out to her Daughter. Rei gripped the black handle of the kettle with her right hand, while her left balled into fist and visible shook. Rei turned her head to look over her shoulder. Shoto had stepped a bit further into the room, despite being scared.
