Todoroki loathed this class.

He loathed it with a burning passion of a thousand burning suns. Thinking about it gave Todoroki a massive headache. And due to the events that took place just last night, Todoroki's mind and body just weren't up for training. The stitches were extremely sensitive. And even though Kenmei promised that they were heat and ice resistant, Todoroki was afraid they would come loose and unravel. To prevent anyone from seeing his stitches, Todoroki wore a long black sleeved shirt underneath his training uniform. He was just in no shape to train.

And today was going to get even worse.

"Today is combat training," Aizawa announced in his tired monotone voice, "which means you'll be going up against one another."
Everyone, besides Todoroki, was thrilled. They cheered, or just smiled in excitement. Todoroki envied their unlimited energy and passion For he was already exhausted just by hearing what they were doing today. It wasn't fair that they were so full of joy and laughter. But, what could he expect? Todoroki couldn't remember the last time he was really happy. Just the times he faked smiles and laughs for his friends and family's sake.

Aizawa took a clipboard, reading down the names of who was going up against who. Todoroki didn't bother to listen very much, until he heard his own name.
Todoroki Shoto Vs Bakugou Katsuki
' I fucking knew it..' Todoroki scoffed inside his mind, his face twisting into a displeased look. They always had to go up against each other. It's not that he hated Bakugou. Actually, if he was completely honest with himself, he admired him. He admired Bakguou's strength, talent, and self worth. His admiration mixed with the annoyance that came with being around Katsuki gave Shoto an almost euphoric feeling. Due to Todoroki knowing almost nothing about real happiness, or affection for that matter, he didn't understand what his feelings for Bakugou really were.

"I want you all to give it your all, hold nothing back." Aizawa's dark eyes glanced over to Todoroki as he spoke.
' Go to hell. ' Todoroki turned away, sighing sharply through his nostrils. He was just glad that they were going last. Everyone who was awaiting their turn sat down on the bleachers. They watched their fellow classmates fight. Todoroki leaned forward, covering his face with his hands. He couldn't think straight with how bad his headache was really getting. If he fought today..god..who knows what he would do? The sounds of crashing, hitting, thuds, and Aizawa's whistle went on for what seem to be an eternity.

Strangely, Todoroki had gotten so used to sounds, that he nearly fell asleep.
Until Bakugou's voice awoke him, "OI, ICY-HOT!! HURRY UP!!"
Todoroki's body jolted up, eyes shooting open. Not to waist any time, Todoroki quickly got up and followed the ash blonde to the training grounds. "Better give it your all Half n' Half, cause I ain't holding anything back!" Bakugou stretched before taking a ready position.

Silence.

Then the whistle blew.

Bakugou let out a warrior battle cry, using his explosions to launch himself forward. Todoroki's eyes narrowed, how did Katsuki really expect to become a Hero with such a furious attitude.
Like Endeavor.
Not like All Might.
Todoroki dodged the attack, creating a shiled of ice between Bakugou and himself. Bakugou growled in annoyance, using his quirk to blow the ice wall to pieces.
" Use your fire, you bastard!! Aizawa said don't hold anything back!!" Bakugou shouted. Todoroki didn't answer.

He hated his fire. But, it wasn't fair not to use it, was it? No, he could seriously hurt Bakugou. He refused. Todoroki just..isn't ready. The battle continued on and on and on. Bakugou constant yelling hurt Todoroki's head. It ended when Bakugou got the upper hand. The smoke from Bakugou's explosions stung so bad that he had to close his eyes. Next thing the younger male knew, Todoroki was slammed to the floor on his back. Eyes snapping open, he saw Bakugou standing over him.

"What the hell is your problem asshole?!? Why didn't you use your fire against me?!? You think i'm weak!?? I'm ten times as strong as you bitch boy!!"
"Bakugou! That's enough! Let him go!" Aizawa snapped, about to use his scarf to separate the two boys.
"Not even using your quirk to it's full extent! Your so useless!!" Bakugou lifted Todoroki off the ground by the collar of his shirt.
"Bakugou! Leave him alone!!"

Todoroki suddenly kicked Bakugou in the shin, causing his shirt to be released. Once that was accomplished, Todoroki kneed Bakugou in the chest. That sent the ash blonde crashing to the floor. "ENOUGH!!" Aizawa demanded, wrapping Todoroki up in his scarf.
"F-freak." Bakugou gasped for the air he lost due to the surprise attack.
Freak.
That single word echoed inside Shott's head like a bell dinging. His flames engulfed his left side, burning right through Aizawa's scarf and thus freeing him. "Todoroki! Come back!" Aizawa called out as Todoroki ran from the training room and out of UA.

The ocean was beautiful this time of day. The evening sunset. No one truly appreciated life. Not even the ones who had everything they could ever wish for. Life was like a butterfly's wing. So beautiful, slick, gentle, and perfect. But could be broken, torn, and taken away.
Todoroki sat atop one of the tallest skyscrapers in all of Musutafu. It had the best view of the oceans beauty. In Todoroki's opinion. Shoto hugged his knees to his chest, tears dripping down his face. His finger tips gently over top his oppisite arms stitches that were hidden by the thin black cloth of his shirt. He muttere incoherently, mostly to himsel about nonsensical things. But, over it all, one sentence was clear as crystal.

"Bakugou is right, I am useless. And a freak." Todoroki stood up, breathing deep yet shaky. He turned backwards, backing slowly up to the edge. "I'm sorry Mom. I'm sorry Fuyumi. I'm sorry Natsou. I'm sorry Kenmei." Todoroki apologized, before allowing himself to swiftly fall off the roof of the building with ease. The wind blew his hair and tears up, creating a chill that ran down his spine. This was it. There was no way he could survive this. The world would be rid of him. He would finally have his wish.

Todoroki woke up, feeling...strange. Not a bad strange or a good strange. Just strange.
"Where am I?" Todoroki wondered out loud, before realizing he was in his dorm room. "It's Hell." Todoroki summed up rather quickly, rolling his eyes. How did Kenmei find him this time? She would have been on the other side of town!
Todoroki looked at his hands, feeling something crusty on them. His eyes grew wide with horror as he saw that his hands were covered in dried blood.

Todoroki panicked, scrambling out of his dorm room and to the bathroom. Luckily, everyone was in the commons room, so Shoto wasn't bothered any. He watched the blood rush down the drain as he scrubbed furiously at the skin on his hands. "Who was it? Who was it? Who was it?" Todoroki muttered over and over again, feeling terrified beyond all belief. He stumbled into the living room, gulping as he noticed everyone was watching the News.

"A body of a young male has been found by a local graveyard here in Musutafu, the name of this young man is still unknown." The reporter stated.
Everyone seemed to notice how the boy looked like Bakugou. The differences being his spiky hair as short and had an undercut, darker skin tone, and brown eyes. Pictures of the crime scene were displayed on the TV. Mocking him.

Todoroki covered his mouth, eyes wider than plates. He slowly began shaking his head in denial. What had it done? What had he left it do? How could he have let this happen?
' Why was he so reckless??? ' Todoroki thought as if he needed the answer right then and there. But he already knew, didn't he? It was in his nature to be reckless.
