'On the roof'

Author's pov.

You were just doing some work in your bed, in front of your laptop, at 2:23am. You didn't really feel like sleeping, so might as well do something.

Some music playing in the background, while you were trying to sketch a person. Then, you heard your phone. Someone sure was calling you.

You put your sketchbook down and took your phone. It was Alex. You answered the call, and put it on speaker.

"Hey mama, why the fuck are you not sleeping?" You hear his voice say. 'Well you're not sleeping too tho-'

"I dunno, why are you not sleeping?" You reply, continuing to sketch. You hear him mumble something, but didn't quite understand, "Mm, what was that? I didn't really hear you."

Alex sighs, "Uh.. well, uh, just wanted to ask if I can come over maybe?"

You think for a moment. You are alone, you don't really have anything better to do, so why not hang out for a bit?

"Well, sure. You can come over, I'll allow ya." You answer, a small smile showing on your face.

"Ah, thanks, y/n. Hold on let me get in a hoodie real quick- I'll text you, alright?"

"Alright. See ya, Alex." You simply say, and he ends the call.

You stop the music, get up and stretch. You take your phone and go downstairs to get some water.

Just sitting on the kitchen counter, sipping water, you heard your phone again. You open it up, a message from Alex.

'Don't be shy, open the door or I'm breaking in ;)'

You just mumble something and get off from the counter. You walk out and to the door. Unlocking it, you open it and then see the man himself.

"Hey, y/n!" He says with a smile. You smile back, letting him in "Yeah yeah, hello!"

Alex goes to sit on the couch, while you just look at him. "So, why exactly you wanted to come here?" You ask, crossing your arms.

"Well.." he starts, looking somewhere else, "I couldn't really sleep, and did feel like streaming.. and I wanted to hang out with, uh, someone, so I decided to call you?"

You just laugh, "Ighty ight, understandable. I was just doing some work, until you called. Anyway, any ideas on what to do now, huh?"

He looks at you, "We should get on the roof. I saw stars, so why not go watch them?" You think for a bit, and then nod. You quickly go up to your room and get a hoodie, so you won't freeze there.

You two are just laying on the roof, staring at the sky. He didn't lie, there are stars. It looked pretty amazing.

While you were admiring the sky, Alex looked at you with a small smile. Soon enough, you noticed, and looked back at him.

"Hey so.." he chuckled, "I know that this is a very random question, but.. what do you think about me?"

Your smile grew, as you looked back at the sky, "Well.. you're really fun, and cool. Great to hang around with. I like you. A lot, honestly."

You then looked back at him. He just stared back at you.

"That's good to know. Well, you see, ahah- I might, or might not, like you more than a friend." Alex said, laughing nervously.

A small blush getting on your face, you replayed the sentence in your head. "Wait, you really do?"

"Yeah-"

"Simp."

"Woah, okay, don't call me a fuckin simp!" He said. You just laughed, "You simp for me, I simp for you~"

"Hold up, you like me-?" Alex asked. You rolled your eyes, "Yeah, dumbass!"

"Awe.. That's actually nice to hear from you, y/n." He smiled again.

"..Simp!"
