Chapter 1: Part 1 Investigating the School (2/2)

Soon I made my way over to the storage room. When I got there, I saw Isamu and Akira there as well as they soon noticed me.

"Oh hey there Himari, what are you doing here?" Asked Akira when he saw me enter the storage room.

"Well just looking more closely around the school." I replied back to him.

'Though still getting a sense on how everyone stands mentally.'

"So what you two doing, also where is Jun? You seemed real protective of her and haven't seen you leave her side yet till now."

"Oh Jun is with Miharu in the Infirmary, she wanted to check up on her. Isamu here was visiting her as well when me and Jun came here and said that he wanted to head here to check up on the inventory." Akira stated.

'Well Akira is kind and sincere, don't have to worry about him.'

"After what that robot bear said, I need to make sure that all weapons are accounted for. I will not let anyone take any weapons and hurt anybody, no matter how people will doubt me." Isamu says assuredly and a bit cold as I could see a slight glare from him as he keeps taking inventory.

"Don't worry about him, he is just a bit upset about what you and Mazoku said before, but don't antagonize him about protecting everyone okay?" Akira whispers to me.

"Why shouldn't I? Isn't it obvious that no matter what, thinking he can..." However I get stopped before I can say anything as Isamu slams his fist on a table as it actually breaks as both me and Akira get shocked from that.

"Don't....EVER think about that! I will protect everyone, so just shut your dang mouth already!" Isamu yells out as he approaches and gets right up to my face, he was really intimating as I just ran out of the room.

'What the heck was that?! I thought he was the naïve and protective type, where did that anger come from? Not only does he seem to have a temper about being protective, but he seems like he is freakishly strong too. I thought that he could be a good asset to being safe, but if he has that temper, then staying away from him for a while seems to be the better choice.'

I thought to myself as I finished running and found myself in the library. I rest for a few seconds before going inside. Once I was inside, I found that Kyouma was once again, reading a book as he sat back in a chair. This time, Emiko was with him as well as she was looking at her E-handbook.

"T...These rules...they are a joke right? Killing....why?" Emiko says softly as she seems to be a state of disbelief.

"Get over it, it is already happening and you should adjust to it." Kyouma replies to Emiko, he doesn't seem to be fazed by this, or at the least, doesn't show it."

'Poor Emiko, she might be one of the first ones gone at this rate, Kyouma on the other hand....'

"So you, Himari right?" My train of thought was interrupted as Kyouma noticed me and spoke up.

"Huh? Oh yeah that's me."

"You seem like your different from the others." He stares a strange way at me as he speaks, his voice not sounding as cold as before.

"Oh and what makes you say that?"

"Well you are not distraught or show any signs of fear or anxiety, at least not right now. Although seems like someone had frightened you just before you got here, I surmise that it must be from trying to understand him like you are the rest" He states as he puts the book down and gets up.

"Oh...I don't know what you mean."

"You have the look of 'I need to know what everyone is like.' I can tell, not only do you seem observant and are intelligent, but I have seen you on T.V. and your ability to adapt in dangerous situations and I believe someone like you should cooperate with me."
