There you sat. On the couch, you've sobered up hours ago. You didn't get much sleep but it wasn't anything you weren't used too. Hisoka hasn't messaged you since then and you haven't picked an date yet nonetheless a time or place.

Kurapika hasn't came back yet either.

With nothing to do you sat up and walked over to one of the bookshelves. You just needed something to keep your mind off of everything that had been going. You sat down near the book shelf and opened up a random book to a random page. Something you'd do when you were with the troupe, it made reading more exciting?

"And he said to me, I love you."

Hmm...She ends up dying of a sickness.

You read through the whole book in thirty seconds before closing it. "I was correct."

You picked up another book and opened to a random page.

"What I saw was vile, it scarred us."

A group of friends find out a monster is living in their basement.

"I was correct."

You continued with the process until you were out of book getting every assumption of them correct. You laid back now not knowing what exactly to do.

Your answer was given to you when the door opened. You saw Kurapika now you looked over the pile of your books to see his face. He didn't look mad, he looked empty. He walked over to the couch and sat down before looking at you.

"The troupe is dead..."

You stared at him looking at him with red eyes. "Their dead?" You asked him. He stared at you and nodded, he didn't seem to believe himself either.

"Even...Hisoka?"

"Yes."

You couldn't believe it. Mainly because It wasn't true. Hisoka wasn't dead. You knew that.

Only Hisoka morrow decides when he dies.

You looked over to Kurapika. "Well if they're dead.... what are we going to do." You asked him. "I don't know, but I have a hunch they're not." Kurapika said putting a finger to his lip.

"Now.."

His eyes turned red once again looking at you.

"Let's discuss your recent outi-"

Then you heard some jingles and sounds, you wondered where they were coming from only to see Kurapika's phone was ringing. He lifted it to his face and looked at it before exhaling and answering it.

"Yes hello?"

"Yes I've seen."

"Right now? Today...?"

".... I believe I am free but..."

"Can I bring a plus one?"

~~~~~~~
Kurapika held your hand gently leading you through the streets of YorkNew. Since the auction all sorts of stalls were still up and the pathways were narrow.
You looked around, you were quiet when other people were around. Even with Kurapika nearby you barely spoke. He wondered why. When he saw your grip was loosening he snapped his head to look back. He wasn't going to lose you again.
