Part of me wants to rip the note to shreds and never talk to David ever again, but the other part of me wants to know what's going on.
So I call Chris. He leads me through the huge and confusing building to the meeting room. I throw the doors open and walk inside.
The room is very sophisticated. A long table stretches through the majority of the room. At the end opposite me, there is a small group of people whispering with each other. One of them is David. They all fall silent and look at me.
David is the first one to speak. "Ron! We didn't think you would come."
I fold my arms and put my chin up. "you drugged me. Why?"
"We can't let you know the location of this building until we know that you're the right person," David says.
"What do you mean, the right person? Why am I here?! I need some answers!!" I yell. This is all so frustrating.
"Ron, calm down. Please. You don't have all of your memories. It will all make sense soon. You just have to trust us," David says, his eyes pleading with me to do as he says.
"You can give me my memories back?"
"We think so. Everything is still inside your head, you just have to find your way back to it. There are paths in your mind that lead back to your memories, and whatever Ruby used on you put road blocks on those paths. But we think we can take them down."
I sigh. I'm not sure that I want to do this. After all, David is a liar. So my words taste vile as they come out of my mouth.
"Do it."

It's later at night. I'm waiting. David should be here soon. He told me that he's bringing some kind of drug that will use my dreams to help me remember. I wish that there were windows in my room. I would love to see the stars right now. Then the door opens.
"Hi, " David says. "You ready?"
"As I'll ever be," I tell him.
"Good," He opens the box he was carrying. Inside, there is a needle filled with a pale pink liquid. "This will put you to sleep, and it will hopefully guide you back to your memories in your dreams."
I slip into my bed. David pushes the needle into my neck, and I'm reminded of the prison. Then I sink into the deep blackness of sleep.
