The intital shock of the news finally worse off, but I was still in distress.
"Give me my phone." I told Kayla, "I need to call Jessica." Jessica always knew what to do when it came to those three boys. she'd have a clue about what the hell I should do.
"Why are you calling my friend to deal with your problems?" Kayla asked me fairly surprised, out of all people she wouldn't expect me to call someone she thought I just met.
"Just give me my cellphone, I'll tell you later." Kayla rolled her eyes at me and reluctantly gave me my phone. I walked out of my dorm room to make the call.
"Hello?" Jessica answered the phone, I switched my number after I got into school
"It's Sutton, I have something to tell you, can you met me in Montgomery, please." I told her.
"Hold on Sutton, you don't contact me for eighteen months, then come to my housewarming party and end up sleeping with your ex-boyfriend in the spare bedroom, not contact me for another month and then have the audacity to have me meet you somewhere?" She asks me, shocked that it's me calling with this request. I ditched the poor girl during planning her wedding and then don't speak to her for almost two years, I understand why.
"Yes, I do, just it's important, don't question it." I told her, "You haven't seen me in forever, we need to catch up." I was hoping the last part would push her over to go and meet me.
"You're a fucking pain in the ass, Sutton," She told me. "I'll see you in an hour." Jessica always pulls through for me, I could kill her dog and she would still have my back.
"Thanks, see you then, kisses." I told her with a laugh before hanging up, I was so grateful that I still had her.
I walked back into my room to see Kayla sitting patiently on her bed. "So what's happening?" She asked me.
"I'm going out." I informed her, no details at all, I don't want her all in my business currently. Everything was too much to handle "I'll be back before ten." I tell her before grabbing my purse and keys, and leaving.
An hour later Jessica met me where I told her to. I got a good look at how much she changed this time, the color in her hair was gone, she thinned out, and perfected her make-up, she looked amazing.
"Sutton, why the fuck did you call me all the way out here?" Jessica asked me fairly annoyed I made her drive a half hour away from home on a Tuesday night for an unknown reason.
"I'll tell you over dinner, my treat?" I asked her, even though I need all the money I possibly have with this situation. Having dinner with an old friend like we used to would comfort me and let me forget the shit I was in.
"Fine, but this better be important." She agreed with me.
We sat down at a pizza place, it smelled like grease and spices, something that didn't make my stomach too happy. We ordered some food before we actually started to do more than small talk.
"So what's up, why did you need me here?" Jessica asked me while fiddling with her straw.
I decided to just drop the bomb on her, "I'm pregnant, with Dalton's kid." I just told her and she just stared at me.
"What? How?" She asked barely forming the words. It seemed unbelievable that I could be so irresponsible and let this happen.
"Your party." I told her before going into a lot more detail about that night now than I did the morning after. I told her about the fight and the kiss and where it all lead to.
"That's insane, does he know?" Jessica asked me, knowing the answer to the question. If she wasn't with Dalton and this happened she so wouldn't tell him, who would?
"Not yet, I don't intend on telling him either, just I'm going to make Parker believe it's his." I told her. Parker would be upset that both of us let this happen, but he would stay with me and take care of the baby.
"Parker who?" Jessica rose an eyebrow at me.
"My boyfriend." I answered simply, there's no need for detail in that department. She didn't need to know how wonderful he was, or how he emphasized schooling, and not making the mistake Dalton and I did.
"You cheated on your current boyfriend with that scum bag Dalton?" Jessica asked me. No one in their right mind would ever, except for a drunk me who believed she still loved Dalton after eighteen months, a new school, and a new boyfriend.
"Yeah, shut up, I feel like shit about it." I told her, Parker wouldn't ever do it to me.
Jessica took a deep breath in before she moved on, "Sutton, I hope you know that Dalton cheated on you when you were dating and got a girl pregnant too." It just came out of her, as soon as I mentioned cheating a light bulb went off in her head and I saw it, but I wasn't expecting this news.
I just stared at her as I processed the information, he cheated on me while we were together, he had a child?
This is just a filler, hoped you liked it.
