I never intended on us getting this close,
But I wouldn't trade you for anything.
I can't wait for the day I'm able to see your smiling face,
Hug you so tight knowing that we are not strangers.
All the late Sunday nights we've shared together,
Motivated by a deadline to share our personal thoughts.
Strangers don't share personal thoughts,
And I'm a sucker for those late night conversations.
I've read about your feelings.
I've read about your struggles.
I've wanted to show up at your doorstep and tell you that I'm here for you.
I love you.
Whether you want to take that romantically or platonically, I don't care.
But I love you.
You deserve all the best things in the world,
Because you are the best thing in this world.
No piece of nature,
No love letter,
No words in any language
Could ever come close to describing you.
You are worthy,
You are loved,
You are cherished by many,
You are needed.
You are succeeding,
You are valid,
You are perfect in your own way.
