HohohohHO. A fourth chapter? Wack.

I think I was a millisecond from completely dropping this story but after several confused rants to my friends about statistics and how this site makes no sense at all, they convinced me to continue.

Can't say much about this chapter besides you finally meet Dream, yay~

Also please comment!! I would honestly love to hear your thoughts, be it negative or positive. Cool, enjoy it!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dream POV
My mind raced as I opened the door. Surely I was imagining the quiet crying outside the door. Who would be crying in the hallway of some random apartment building at 6 am?
Maybe it was some crazed fever dream. Maybe I just need some sleep.
I popped my head out of the apartment and at first, saw nothing. It appeared empty at first glance. But as I scanned the hallway that assumption proved very much wrong. For there, lying curled in a small ball was a woman.
Dressed nothing like someone would imagine a girl crying in a hallway would be wearing. A tight pink dress with thin straps. It hugged her skin and she couldn't have looked more uncomfortable in it.
What the fuck do I even do?
Surely I can't just leave her?
Right?
That decision was made for me. For as I questioned what I should do she noticed me. Her head dragged up from where it was tucked into her knees and she whipped her gaze to mine. I felt myself take in a sharp breath as I saw her eyes.
Red and puffy eyes, slightly swollen and red lips from her biting them likely. She was shaking from either the tears or whatever was making her cry.
"Are you," I began asking her then stopped myself, what an idiotic question. "Do you need any help?" Still, a stupid question.
She blinked before answering, "please."
Her voice was raspy and sounded hurt. I walked towards her and she ever so slightly flinched. I didn't want to believe the train of thought that my mind was going down. But how could I not?
I shook my head and reached my hand towards her, offering her help standing up. She stared at it, then me, then grabbed it. Her grip was shockingly strong as she used my arm to balance herself as she stood up. I didn't let myself take in her body nor how she held herself. Lest I fan the flames of my current assumptions.
"Well, I don't know what your plan was but you can't sleep out here."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ y/n POV

I studied the man before me. Tall, definitely over 6 feet. Blond with relatively soft facial features. The most notable feature likely being his green eyes. I couldn't tell if they were more limes or forests. If their green was bright or dull or somewhere in between.

He shifted slightly uncomfortably, his hand reaching up for his hair. He dragged his fingers through it and flickered his eyes around the hallway. I felt some form of twisted amusement fill me as I realized he wasn't kidding.

Now any sane or rational person would've turned him down and returned to their safe and warm home. But that wasn't an option for me.

So instead, I stood.

"Why not?" I already knew the answer. Several reasons really. Each one worse than the next.

"The security will have you out by morning, and..." He trailed off, his eyes flickering to the ceiling, "I'm not too sure about how you feel about going home."
