"Lights On!"

The lights went on and Austin wasn't exactly excited to make it to Mr Aldin because they were three and so now they have to be two left.

The other contender was a college girl, Nikita. They don't know each other but he has seen her here before in his neighbourhood. So she's either from there or visits there.

"Ooh. You two have made it to the finals, you should be proud. I want you two to remember that when these lights go off, only one of you will live. Who that is? I don't know. My eyes just report death and I call it but take with you everything you have learned and that is never to trust anyone. Not even your friends, because many of them brought you to me,"

Mr Aldin shared and let out a very long cackle that made their stomachs turn. The two looked at each other. Nikita rolled her eyes and folded her arms.

"Also, never play hide and seek. It's not as fun as it were when you were kids,"

He started laughing again but this time it was quicker.

"Lights off and good luck,"

Austin took a deep breath and ran away right after. He didn't know where to go and he felt bad for Nikita and hopes that she gets out of this mess. He walked to the main bedroom just taking his time and taking in the darkness. Once he entered the bedroom he walked to the bathroom and got into the bathtub awaiting his death.

He sat there in the bathtub with the curtains drawn and his head resting against the tub. He quickly lifted his head when he saw a silhouette of a female coming into the bathroom with a long knife.

It's always like that to him, when he thinks he's ready to die but as soon as the opportunity presents itself then suddenly he's too afraid to go forth with it. He's young after all and hasn't lived his life one bit.

He took one deep breath and let out one shaky breath. Female hands on the thin curtains and she opened it and he gasped for his life.

He sighed in relief when he saw that it was Nikita who quickly got into the tub as well and sat down at his feet with her knees drawn to her face. She couldn't help but start crying. He watched her, he wanted to comfort her but he was weak. He started sobbing quietly opposite her.

They held onto their knives and cried for twenty minutes straight. She took a breath and wiped her tears. "We need to be strong. We need to end this. We should kill ourselves in honour of the innocent lives left,"

She suggested. He didn't say anything.

"It's not fair that our friends died like that and we get to walk free,"

He remained quiet.

Then she started crying again, "but I don't wanna die... I just feel so so so guilty,"

He leaned forward and hugged her while she shed more tears. He pulled back and nodded his head. "You're right, but we should take our lives together so that when the lights go on, it will be for the both of us,"

She nodded her head. There was no plan and there was no other way out. The best option is to take their lives, for their friends.

They lifted their knives and tried slitting their throats. Their eyes closed the blade of their knives tightly around their necks, cutting into the flesh. Not too much, just enough for a few blood droplets to kiss their blades. They tried to be strong but they opened their eyes together and shook their heads.

"Let's kill each other instead, maybe it will go better," he suggested.

She wiped more tears from her cheeks and nodded her head. "On three. One... two............ three."
