The hall was quite and everyone was waiting for the announcement.
The hat roared :
"You belong in all of the houses!
I'm not able to choose the right one for you , so you'll choose it yourself
when you're ready."
I was so confused.. is something wrong with me? I'm the first person that was not sorted into a house by the sorting hat.
Everyone started discussing what just happened. I looked at the slytherin table where Draco was sitting, he had an amused look on his face. Then I looked at my new friends that were sitting at the gryffindor table, I saw Hermione mouth the words
"Don't worry!"
Professor Mcgonagall took the hat of my head and told me to go sit down wherever I wanted. I got up and started walking to the gryffindor table, I looked at the slytherin table and saw Draco and his friends do the come here gesture with their hands.
I wasn't sure where I should sit, so I just sat at the nearest table which was hufflepuff. I sat next to a boy with brown hair he was probably in the 3rd or 4th year. The sorting ceremony continued.
After the ceremony, Dumbledore got up and announced :
"So that almost everyone was sorted.
Except for Miss L/n, don't worry we will figure something out for you!"
He smiled at me.
"Since you kind off already choose hufflepuff and you're sitting next to Cedric he'll be your guide for this week, you will spend your first week there. Being in hufflepuff and then every week you'll switch into another house and a student from that house will be your guide. That's how it will work for this month and then you will choose the house that you are most comfortable in."
Once again people started whispering, I guess that now I was the new hot topic of the school. Great..
It's my first day here and everyone thinks I'm weird.
"May the feast beging!"
Said Dumbledore
A lot of food appeared infront of us it looked amazing but I wasn't in the mood for anything , I felt judged by everyone.
"I'll make sure that you choose hufflepuff."
Said the boy next to me. I looked at him, our eyes met. He had gorgeous grey eyes. He smiled at me and I smiled back.
"Oh well then , you must impress me.
And a side note I'm not easily impressed."
He chuckled
"I'm Cedric , Cedric Diggory."
"Nice to meet you Cedric I'm y/n l/n."
"Don't worry I'm sure you'll like it here!"
After the feast, we all went into our common rooms.
I wish I knew that I should have sat at the gryffindor table , at least I would be with my friends.
But oh well at least I'll meet new people and Cedric seems pretty nice.
