By the time the weekend had come I was feeling much better which meant my plans to go out shopping with Micah could still go ahead. Just then she came rushing into the living room.
"Chloe please can I borrow some of your leggings all of mine are in the wash, I've only got those white jeans but I'm on" she whined.
"Sure" I said and then it occurred to me that I hadn't started my period yet and Micah and I usually came on together.
"Wait you're on your period"? I asked her once we was in the privacy of my room.
"Yeah, are you not"? Said Micah
"No" I said
"You're not telling me you're late" said Micah.
"Well I guess so" I said.
"But we've been in sync for ages" said Micah.
"I know" I said.
"Wait exactly did you and Dashiell get up to at party cause I know I was drunk I'm pretty sure i remember you and Dash sneaking upstairs" said Micah. I stood there biting my lip debating to tell her about dash and I, but she was my best friend, so I had to tell.
"Okay, I'll tell you, but have to promise me that you won't tell anyone" I said.
"Okay I promise" said Micah.
"We had sex" I said.
"You mean- you- you're not a virgin" said Micah.
"Yeah" I said.
"Wait a minute, you've been feeling sick and now you're period is late, you don't think your preg-" she said.
"No" I said interrupting her, I knew exactly what she was going to say it had been in the back of my mind ever since I had realised my period was late but I didn't want her to say it out loud because that just made it real.
"But Chloe" said Micah.
"No, no way" I said.
"Did you use protection"? Asked Micah.
"Well no but" I said unable to finish my sentence.
"Maybe you should get a test, just to make sure, it will probably be negative" said Micah.
"I can't Micah, it would just make it real" I said.
"But Chloe if you are pregnant then you're gonna be pregnant whether you take the test or not, the baby won't just go away if you pretend it's not there.
"I can't Micah" I said in tears.
"Yes you can, now come on let's go shopping and we'll pick up and test when we're there and then you can come back to my place and take it" said Micah. I knew I had to face up to the facts.
"Okay" I said quietly and then we made our way to the shops.
