The day Daniel ended up in the hospital, he got out of his house and got aboard the train to the center of the city of Santiago, with just the right amount of money for a new CD and the ticket back home. He is 26 and loves alternative old fashion music, so this trip wasn't anything new. He sat down in the back of the train to avoid other people, took out his potable CD player and started to listen to his favorite alternative rock band; "Crow Hearts".

When he arrived at his station, Baquedano, he noticed that it was full of people waiting to get in. He hated crowds, so he put the appliance back in his pocket and prepared himself to dodge everyone. The trick was to pretend that he was invisible and go with the flow. "The store is always empty"- he thought to himself with his head about to explode- "there I can be more comfortable". Finally, he managed to get out of that human cage and walk to the CD store.

He took his time to see and listen to all the new bands that debut since the last time he visited that filthy place. After two hours, he ended up buying the single "Rings" from "Tiger".

The sky was of the color of a carrot when he came out, like any other day, but there were more people, a lot more. He didn't remember ever seeing something like this, and it doesn't have anything to do with the fact that he has bad memory. For some reason the train station was closed, the bus stops were empty and people with their mouths covered with a handkerchief were running on the streets. police were throwing tear gas bombs that made Daniel cough and cry, and, on the distance, gunshots could be heard.

Daniel tried to cover his mouth, but he couldn't do it on time, and he passed out after hearing one last gunshot. The day he ended up in the hospital, it was October 18th of 2019.

Instructions:

Write a scene of 250-350 words featuring a character with one concrete want (a table, a moose, a toothbrush, anything physical is fine!) and one weakness. Use these two features to drive the action of the plot. Set up the story where every other sentence is a rising action. To help you come up with rising actions, use one word from the following list of twelve words in each sentence that has a rising action. In other words: Write your first sentence introducing your character. Make the next sentence a rising action using one of the following twelve words. Write your third sentence, which may introduce the weakness, then write your fourth sentence with a rising action that includes one of the remaining eleven words you haven't used. And so on.
