Max made it to Branch's bunker and knocked on the door. It was a specific knock that would signal Branch it was him. He opened his mat, making him turn around.
"Hey, what's up?" Branch greeted with a smile.
"Nothing much. Just came to talk." Max answered.
"Well, come on in." Branch offered.
They went inside and went down to the bunker. Once at the bottom, they went to the table.
"So what do you want to talk about?" Branch asked.
"About what happened earlier. Why do you always act like that to them?" Max wondered.
"Because they don't understand me. You accept that I don't sing, dance or hug." The older brother answered.
"I know that, but still. You can't just do that. You have to come to the party! It would mean a lot to Poppy if you showed up." Max explained.
"I'm sorry, but I don't want to." Branch said as he left the table and went to his supplies.
Max glared at his brother, then he grabbed the scrapbook, walked over to him and showed him the scrapbook.
"Hey, I have the scrapbook. Don't you collect them?" He asked.
"I do, but it's none of your business." Branch said while grabbing the scrapbook.
Max smiled for a moment, but then he went serious and stood before him.
"Branch, we've been brothers ever since you adopted me. I know all of your secrets, including your crush on Poppy." Max said with a smirk.
Then Branch paused and blushed as he turned to his younger brother. "Where did you get that idea?!" He yelled at him.
"You look at her invitations and scrapbooks whenever you're sad or depressed. Plus, you have a poem book for her." Max said as Branch blushed and clenched his fists.
"I swear, if you tell anyone what you just said, you're dead." He threatened.
"I'll remember that." Max said.
"And don't you have a party to go to?!" Branch asked.
"Well, yes. I do, but-" Max said but his brother interrupted him.
"Go, leave me alone." Branch said bluntly.
"Whatever..." Max said as he started to walk away. But then he paused and turned around. "But before I go, can I tell you one more thing?" He asked.
"Ugh, fine. What is it?" Branch asked annoyed.
"I just wanna tell you about the chance that you may be right about the party." Max replied.
"You mean the fact that a Bergen could come and attack?" Branch asked.
"Yeah. I'm still gonna go it since I promised DJ Suki and Poppy I'll be there, but only to make sure that won't happen. Plus, it's my job as Poppy's assistant to protect her, Suki and everyone else. I am called the Safety Nerd for a reason." Max explained.
"Well, as long as you're careful and making sure no gets attacked, I'll allow it. But I wouldn't be able to live with myself if my little brother gets hurt. Or worse." Branch confessed.
Max smiled and gave him a Bro Hug, which they call it. Branch smiled and hugged him back. He never accepted a hug from anyone (except his brother), not even from Poppy. (A/N: To all you Broppy fans, don't worry, they will eventually.)
"I'll be careful. And I know exactly who to come to if a Bergen does come." He whispered then added, "And remember, if you need anything, just come and ask me."
"I'll keep that in mind, thanks." Branch smirked.
Max walked over to the elevator and left for the party.
Secretly, Branch can be more kind when he's with his little brother. He is always there for him no matter what. To be honest, Branch knows all of Max's secrets, including his crush on DJ Suki. Honestly, Branch would like to get to know Suki better. Maybe they could be great friends somehow.
