Third person's POV
Addilyn turned off her phone after sending that message to her childhood friend, Pierre. She was sure na dadalhan siya nito ng pagkain because she saw him getting a plate then putting some baked mac on it. She smiled upon observing her friend and looked up on the night sky where the moon and stars are placed.
On the other hand, Pierre thought of an idea.
Once he finished putting enough baked mac and a garlic bread as well on the plate, pumunta siya sa table nila where his friends are. Lumapit siya mismo kay Xero who was talking to Sirius.
He tapped Xero's shoulder. "Can you gives this to Addi? Gutom pa raw kasi siya and hindi na makababa. She says she's on the balcony." He handed him the plate with baked mac.
Xero stared at the plate first then back to Pierre. "Sure." He immediately stands up then get the plate from his friend.
Pierre just watches him walk away and looks back at his friend who was still standing in the balcony while staring at the sky, admiring the shining entities above. He made a way for them to have a talk and he was hoping that Addilyn will see this as a chance.
Meanwhile, Xero was walking on the stairs, not knowing why he suddenly feels nervous. As he reached the second floor, he could already see Addilyn on the other side. Hindi pa siya napapansin nito dahil nakatalikod ito sa kanya.
Xero walked along the pathway while looking at Addilyn.
What am I supposed to say? Isip nito.
"Hey, Adds..." As soon as she heard his voice, she immediately turned around to look at whoever called her name.
Her eyes slightly widened upon seeing Xero.
"Special delivery?" Sambit ni Xero habang itinaas ng kaonti ang hawak niyang pagkain.
Napatingin naman si Addilyn sa dala niya at biglang napalingon sa pwesto kung nasaan si Pierre. Saktong nakatingin din sa gawi niya si Pierre at kinindatan pa siya nito nang magtama ang tingin nila.
Napailing si Addilyn sa ginawa ng kaibigan niya. I told him that I'm fighting my urge to talk to this man first. Sana hindi ko na lang sinabi.
She gets the plate from Xero's hand. "Thank you." She slightly smiled but her stare at him didn't last for a second.
Tumalikod na lang siya ulit at nagsimulang kainin ang baked mac na kinuha ng kaibigan niya para sa kanya. Nararamdaman pa rin niya ang presensiya ni Xero mula sa likod kaya hindi niya alam kung anong kailangan niyang gawin. She can't think of anything at all.
Xero cleared his throat.
"I'm sorry, Adds." He said. "My phone was broken and it took days before I had it fixed. Hindi pumayag si Ate na hiramin ko ang phone niya. I was about to reply to you no'ng nasa skyranch kami but that's where my phone was broken. Hindi ko napaayos agad kasi—"
He wasn't able to continue what he was about to say because Addilyn cut him off. She also placed her plate first on the table in the balcony.
"I told you..." Panimula niya. "You are not obligated to reply to me. I know that it's definitely not your fault." She turn around again and looked at Xero.
