The Mating Moon

Chapter 12

Oliver

For the past two weeks Esme and I have been having sex every night and every morning. Not that I'm complaining, but I've been slacking with my Alpha duties. The excuse I've been giving has been that Esme is in heat but the truth is that her heat went away like a week ago. So today I'm bringing her to the meeting with me, Alex agrees that she need to get more involved with pack decisions.

I've been in a bit of a conflict with the Crescent pack, they are looking for a wolf and want permission to look in my pack. But I know who they are looking for and I'm helping her stay hidden. So now they want to have a war for this individual. I'm stressed to say the least. I'm hoping that Esme might have some insight on how to handle this with out causing war.

Esme and I arrive to the meeting a bit later due to me having to satisfy her new addiction to my dick. "well finally they have arrived" said Luke in an exasperated tone. Esme just glares at him, "mind your damn business."

Everyone just breaks into laughter at Luke's annoyed face. I step to my place in the front of the room along with Esme, "so what's changed."

Alex sighs, "as of now Kyle and his father want to have a war and they want one by the end of the week."

I clench my fists but they soon unclench when I feel Esme's hand in mine. Esme steps up, "so I know a little from what Oliver's told me, but who is this for? Who do they want so badly?"

Alex looks at me and I give him a small nod letting him know it was ok to tell her, "Julie, she belonged to the Crescent pack, she was the Alphas daughter and Kyles sister. She moved here to hid from them because she was abused when she was there. She told us stories of how they use to tie her up and beat her." Alex's fists begin to clench and you could almost say you could see the rage poring out of him. He then adds in a more sympathetic tone, "she even told us that towards the end her father even allowed for some of his enforcers to rape her. So that's when she escaped and came to us."

I look over to Esme and she look like she was about to cry but shook it off, it must be hard for her to know that her friend has gone through so much. Luke then explains the rest, Julie really isn't a submissive wolf it's just a spell we had a which put on her in hope that it would help her cover. We were hoping that she would have ended up being Oliver's mate only because it would helped her. If she was then her brother wouldn't be able to take her from us, she would have been considered our Alpha female."

Esme perks up, "why don't you say she is?" I look at her in confusion she then sighs and explains, "can't you have a meeting with this other Alpha and say she is your mate?"

I mean that idea could have worked if we hadn't already fully mated, "No, my love because your sent is all over me, if we did that the they would be able to tell off the bat that I'm lying."

She then gives me an are you dumb look, "but cant you get a witch to change your scent for like a little while, like you did to her to make her look like a submissive instead of a dominant one?" it could work technically.

The rest of the meeting went by quickly as we plan a scenario based on Esme idea. Once everything was planned out we all head to get some lunch at the pack house. Esme decided that tonight she was going to spend some time with the girls now that she and I can part for longer distances. I made Jade promise me that she would watch her and keep her safe.

I spent the rest of the night with the guys playing card games and talking shit about dumb things, it was nice to hang with them like old times. Not that I hate spending time with Esme, its just refreshing to be able to spend time with my friends.

Alex talks about how Jade and him have the best sex when they are mad at each other, which all the guys laugh about because they are always fighting even before they knew that they were mates. James tells how much Nina is a pain in the ass, like how tonight she wanted to come to hang with us but he told her to stay home because she was getting on his nerves. She never let the man breath. Then we all laughed at Luke since we all knew that he and Lizzie always liked each other even when we were kids.

They all told me how good of a job Esme's has been doing since becoming a werewolf. She been taking everything well and I think she will make one hell of an Alpha female the more time she spends doing the job.

We are all startled when we all except James feel something is wrong. It was the girls something is wrong we are all rushing out with a confused James behind us.

When we reach the girls Lizzie is on the floor crying over a bleeding Jade and Julie and Esme are no where in sight. Luke picks up Lizzie, "What happened Liz?"

She gives him a pitiful look tears still running down her face, "they took her and one of them stabbed Jade, and I told Julie to run and get help but I don't know where she went." She tries to explain still shaking.

"who did they take?" I question her fear still lingering in my voice.

I voice from behind us startles us, it was Julie she was in James arms. "Esme, they took her because she had your scent on her and I guess they thought the best way to get what they wanted was to take her in my place. I don't think they saw me since took off before they could see me."

I just stand there looking at the scene before me, my mate is gone. They took my mate, I'm going to kill every last one of them and they are going to beg for mercy when I finish with them.
