"Expecto Patronum." You whispered, flicking your wand softly into the air, opening a single eye to see the spell had once again failed.

You grumbled in frustration.
"Find something that makes you happy. A memory." Harry chided.

"Alright. Something happy." You said, readying yourself again, before suddenly finding yourself captivated by the other students Patronus' it made you jealous, which only made it harder to conjure up your own. However you also found Malfoy struggling to perform the spell which made you feel less of a fool, you frowned.

"Concentrate Y/N."
You knocked yourself out from you brief trance before extending your wand, flicking it gently again as you sealed your eyes shut, allowing your thoughts to carry themselves
"Expecto. Patronum."

As you opened your eyes, a magnificent stag emerged from the tip of your wand, it reared before it trotted around you, head held high. The blue hue of it lit up your face with a smile which had now distracted Draco who watched quietly from a distance, a small smile across his lips, unnoticed by the others.

As your eyes followed the stags elegant movements, they landed on Draco, you smiled softly and watched as the stag bowed its head before dissapearing. Harry offered his congratulations before moving on to help the other students.

You swiftly made your way over to Draco standing close to him, "Having trouble too?"
"Everything I try... I can't think of anything... There is nothing."
"Don't be so doubtful. If there truly is nothing then... Perhaps we will just have to create our own happy memories." You smiled.

He shifted his gaze to you as you took his hand, lifting it in front of him. "Let's try again." You hummed.
He sighed but agreed to try one last time, you held his other hand, reasurringly rubbing your thumb over his knuckles.

"Expecto Patronum."
He frowned after nothing happened but suddenly a flash of blue soared into the air with an echoed roar. The pair of you tilted your heads upwards to see a dragon suddenly emerge from the flash, hovering for a moment before sweeping around the room.

"Fitting." You chuckled, "What did you think of?"
"The night you told me you loved me."
You grinned, "Back in third year, it was Halloween."
"I'd frightened you earlier in the day."
"So I refused to speak with you until... I told you everything." You shook your head softly, chuckling.
"By the Great Lake." Both of you chided.
"Because you'd come to check if I was alright." You continued, "It was cold, but we talked for hours about..."
"About everything."
"And that's when I told you." You smiled.
Draco nodded, "And what about you?"

You looked over at him, "Hogsmeade. It was getting close to Christmas and I told you I was heading home for the holidays."
"And I begged you to stay at Hogwarts for the holidays."
"I remember thinking you were insane, not going back to the manor. But it turns out it was the best Christmas I'd had in a long time." You smiled, "Should we try again?"
He gave a nod before the pair of you outstretched your arms, chanting the spell together, watching as your Patronus'  formed, circling the pair of you, both of you watching them with a smile, knowing you were each responsible for conjuring eachothers Patronus'
