"You want forgiveness?" Derek asked his uncle, bitterly. Derek tried to kick Peter, but Peter blocked it."I want understanding," Peter said and kicked Derek in the chest. Derek somersaulted across the hospital floor and landed face down. "Do you have any idea what it was like for me all those years? Slowly healing cell by cell," Derek spit out blood and Peter continued, "even more slowly coming back to consciousness. Yes becoming an alpha, taking that from Laura, pushed me over a plateau in the healing process. I can't help that." Anger boiled inside of Derek. He quickly stood up and went to punch Peter.
He tried multiple times, but Peter blocked everyone. Peter grabbed Derek's wrist and twisted so that Derek ended up on the floor, groaning in pain. Peter continued to talk, "I tried to tell you what was happening. I tried to warn you." Peter threw Derek into the glass windows of an office.
Derek tried to squirm away. He ended up in a research lab, coughing up blood. He sat against the wall. "I was going to wait for a dramatic flair, but," Peter spun the mirror that was sitting on the table. While it was spinning Peter healed the burnt half of his face. "When you look this good. Why wait?" Peter asked, rhetorically. "Derek, you have to give me a chance to explain. After all, we're family."
Derek considered it for a moment. He knew he couldn't just think about himself. He had to think about Elijah too. Did he want his son to be around a psycho killer? No.
"No," Derek said after a few minutes of debating. "I have a new family." Derek glared at Peter. He should have known Peter always has a plan.
"I thought you would say that. That is why I have this." Peter reached into his pocket and pulled out a picture. He threw it at Derek. Derek looked at it. It was his son, playing in the sandbox at school. "We wouldn't want something happening to that sweet little boy of yours now, would we?" Derek's anger flared up again.
"Leave him out of this. He's your nephew, you wouldn't hurt him," Derek tried to deny.
"You're right, I won't hurt him at a cost. You have to become a part of my pack. If you refuse, I'll kill Elijah." Peter had a sadistic smirk on his face.
"Fine. You can't ever go near him. Ever. You will leave him and Riley alone," Derek negotiated.
"I wasn't planning on it unless you still refused me, then I would have. Let's go." Peter started walking towards the door. Derek got up, wincing in pain. He followed after his uncle, reluctantly. "I find it funny that I knew you had a son way before you did," Peter laughed. Derek glared, not saying anything.
"Where are we going?" Derek asked, with a slight growl.
"You'll see." Peter walked towards a red car. Derek didn't ask, he really didn't want to know where he got the car. Peter got in the driver's side and Derek got in the backseat because he didn't want to be near his uncle.

"Really. We're going to the high school. You couldn't tell me we were going to the high school," Derek rolled his eyes.
"I like surprises, Derek, sue me. You are aware I don't bite. You could have sat in the passenger seat," Peter smirked. Peter knew exactly why Derek sat in the backseat.
"I would like to be as far away from you as I possibly can be," Derek scowled.
"Oh come on, Derek. We're family. We're a pack. Don't you love me?"
"No. You're pushing it. Now shut up," Derek got out of the car and slammed the door shut.
"Hey! Why do you have to be so angry?" Peter asked, still smirking.
