After the pageant was over, Kali was walking home with Jessica and Carol while Jane was out taking the twins Xmas shopping at the mall and Walter was at work. Kali didn't mind though, it was such a beautiful day.

The girls were walking down Main Street where they spotted some workers putting up some Xmas decorations of Santa in his sleigh being driven by his reindeer team.

"Oh look, Santa's reindeer" Jessie pointed out.

Kali smiled as she looked up at the decorations. She had always respected and admired greatly in Santa's reindeer and the amazing effort they always put into their work in helping the big man bring presents to children all over the world. Their job was pretty impressive.

Jessie started reciting the order for the reindeer from the poem "The Night Before Christmas" but Carol kept interrupting her warning her to watch out for cars.

"Now Dasher! Now Dancer!" Jessica recited the loudest she's ever been when suddenly, the third plastic reindeer fell from the display and nearly busted through a car's windshield that was driving by.

"Prancer!" Jessie cried out as the girls rushed over to the scene of the accident. Thankfully no one had gotten hurt.

"I've been telling the council for years these decorations are too old" One of the workers groaned in frustration. "Almost went right through that man's windshield"

A few more people started to gather out of concern what had just happened.

Another worker sighed, looking up at the reindeer decorations where the spot with the missing reindeer was empty. "Looks like Santa's only going to have seven reindeer this year"

The people then started to clear the streets as they didn't want anymore accidents. Kali frowned as she watched the workers gather up the broken pieces of the fallen reindeer and start to leave.

"Aren't you going to fix him?" Jessie asked the workers about the plastic reindeer, who she believed was Prancer. But the worker only looked at the broken reindeer then back at Jessica shrugging his shoulders then left.

"They've got to fix him" Jessie said. "Santa needs all his reindeer"

"The display just won't be the same" Kali agreed about the decoration of Santa's team being one reindeer short.

"He can't fly without Prancer" Jessie frowned.

"It's not the real Prancer" Carol told her best friend. "It's just wood"

"I know that..." Jessie sighed, hanging her head. "It's just wood"

Kali frowned a bit at Jessica, feeling bad for her friend. The girls soon went their separate ways and headed home. Kali soon arrived at her house, coming up into her front yard just as the rest of her family had gotten home from their Christmas shopping.

"Hey, kiddo" Walter greeted his daughter first, getting out of the car. "How'd it go?" He asked her.

"Oh, you guys are never going to believe this," Kali began, telling her family. "One of Santa's reindeer fell down on Main Street and almost busted through a car's windshield. It was so cool!"

The twins were a bit freaked out hearing this, thinking it was actually Santa's reindeer until Jane assured them that it was just a decoration. Kali then helped her family carry some wrapped presents into the house. The twins obviously tried getting a peak at their presents again. But Jane was prepared this year, not just with a lock but a whole security system to the attic with a secret password, lasers and everything.

Later that evening, Kali was up in her room decorating and trying on some of her Christmas themed clothes all while listing to Christmas music. Oh, how the little adventure girl loved Christmas!
