"What can I get for you?" Harry asks as we walk into the kitchen.

I take my seat at one of the stools and shrug my shoulders. Harry always insists on me eating a snack after school, even though I've told him I wasn't hungry. Today especially I didn't want to eat much. I wanted to wear a tighter outfit to the party and didn't want to be bloated. "Anything is fine," I say, hoping he'll give me something small.

He walks over to the fridge and looks inside. "Fruit alright, darling?" He asks as he pulls out a big bowl of fruit.

I nod my head. Low calories, just how I like it.

"Tell me more about your friends," Harry says. I could hear the suspicion he had about letting me go to the party still lingering in his voice. He places a bowl in front of me and hands me a spoon before sitting down next to me.

"They're really nice and, well...what do you want to know about them?" I ask. There wasn't much I could tell him about Jade or Raquel. If I told him they smoke and drink he'd never let me go.

"You said it's at Luke's house. What's Luke like?" He says.

"He's on the football team. He's the captain, actually," I tell him. "I've got science with him and Mike."

"The football captain, huh?" Harry says. He didn't seem to like that too much, and I wasn't sure why. "Will the rest of the football team be there?" He asks.

I shrug my shoulders. "I don't really know. Mike will be there, and he's on the team," I say as I push my fruit around in my bowl. "I'm not sure about the rest of the team, but I don't think it'll be that big of a party. No one was talking about it at school today."

Harry nods his head. "And Luke's parents, will they be there?" He continues his interrogation.

"Harry," I say while rolling my eyes. Are all parents like this, or is it just Harry? All these questions seemed a little ridiculous. "I'm going to be fine, trust me."

"I do trust you, Madds. It's other people I don't trust," he tells me. "That's why I want you to have your phone on you at all times, okay?"

I nod my head. "I know," I sigh. "I'm not sure if his parents will be there," I sheepishly admit, starting to feel guilty. I was probably putting Harry in a hard position, and me not knowing anything about the party wasn't making it any easier for him.

"Alright then," he says. I watch him tap his fingers on the countertop. "Well, you know for next time to ask for a little more info. What time do you want to be there?"

"Six is when it starts. Jade said she could pick me up," I tell him.

"Seems like you've got it all planned out," he chuckles. "I want you to send me Luke address so I can pick you up if Jade isn't leaving by 10:30."

I nod my head. There was no way Jade would be leaving before 10:30. She seems too cool to have a curfew, or too cool to obey her curfew. I'd have to text Harry the address a few houses down so no one would see me being picked up early.

"Yeah, I'll ask Sam for it," I say. I was about to ask Harry if I could go get ready when my phone lit up showing a FaceTime call from Jade.

I look over at Harry and he nods his head. "You go talk with your friend. I'll be right here whenever you're done," he says, already knowing what I wanted to do.

I smile. "Thanks, Harry. I won't be long," I say and hop out of my seat.

I grab my phone and press the answer button before it went away before quickly making my way upstairs.
