Kurt Hummel was a 32-year-old single father working for Vogue in NYC he had also worked on Broadway for a few years before his daughter was born. He had divorced his husband Adam shortly after they had adopted their baby girl. Adam had not been ready for a child apparently and the two decided it was best to separate. Adam had signed all of his parental rights over to Kurt so their daughter was completely and only his.

Audrey Hummel was now 5 years old and in kindergarten.

Audrey's best friend was her cousin Carson Hudson. Who was a year older and in first grade And the son of his stepbrother Finn and best friend Rachel.

Both of the children went to Harvey Milk elementary school. It was now October. That means that the annual school Halloween carnival was approaching.

Rachel and Kurt had signed up to help set up the event. They had been put in charge of the haunted house that ran through the second and third-grade hall. Rachel worked on adding spider webs to the walls before asking Kurt if he could go find a stapler because she was running low. Kurt nods in agreement before searching for a classroom he can slip into to borrow a stapler.

Kurt soon finds himself in the first-grade hall. He was now standing in front of the only classroom with a light on. Kurt opens the door to find the room surprisingly empty. So he walked up to the desk in the corner of the room and picked up the stapler. Before it slipped through his butterfingers and onto the carpet below. "Shit" he muttered before hearing a shriek. Kurt jumped before spinning around.

When Kurt turns around towards the direction of the noise he finds a man sitting on a bean bag. Book on his lap and a shocked look on his face. His honey-brown eyes shine from the light slipping through the blinds. His hair is a raven brown color and his curls are slicked down with gel.

Blaine sits up to find a gorgeous man standing in his classroom. He had fluffy brown hair and a sharp jawline. His eyes were incredible pools of blue. And his tight jeans wrapped around his legs perfectly.

Ehem the Blaine says, breaking away from the magical blue eyes in front of him before clearing his throat. "Can I help you?" The shorter man asks as he places the books on the floor before standing up to walk towards Kurt.

Oh- I- sta- stapler s-sorry I'll g-

"Oh no I'm sorry I didn't mean to startle you" the man replied.

Kurt responds a little calmer now. I'm sorry for barging in. My friend and I are setting up for the carnival and she asked me to go find a stapler. This was the only open classroom and I didn't see anyone when I walked in the room.

No worries the man said with a grin. Kurt could now clearly see the man in full view now. He wore orange skinny Jeans, a black polo, white doc martens, and a black bow tie covered in little orange pumpkins.

The man reaches his hand out "Blaine Anderson" the man says, shaking Kurt's hand. "Kurt Hummel" Kurt responds to the cute guy in front of him.

"If you don't mind me asking..." Kurt says. "What were you doing in here all alone reading?" Ohh Blaine responds with a slight chuckle. "Some of the moms were sort of bombarding me while I was trying to help out, so I escaped to read for a little while. Kinda dumb I know"

"No!" Kurt responds a little too quickly. "I- I mean I don't think it's dumb. I get it. They can be quite crazy sometimes.

Also, you picked a great book. I've been reading a tale of witchcraft myself actually."

"That's awesome!" Blaine responds.

"Anyway," Kurt says "Rachel is probably going to come looking for me soon so I should probably get back to work."
