Blaine walks up to the front door of the Hudson Hummel household practically shaking. This was it. This was the first impression. Blaine stood at the door for a minute before finally getting the courage to knock on the door.

"I'll get it!" Kurt says when he hears three taps coming from the porch.

Kurt opens up the door to find his boyfriend fidgeting with his knuckles. "Honey don't be nervous," Kurt tells Blaine as he steps onto the porch shutting the door slightly. "They are going to love you!" Kurt reassures the raven-haired man.

Kurt then wraps his arms around his boyfriend's neck and presses a soft kiss into his lips. "You take my breath away," Blaine tells Kurt as they press their foreheads together. The two boys soon break apart and Blaine laces his fingers with Kurt's. finally, after a few more deep breaths, they walk inside.

"Dad, Mom this is Blaine," Kurt says as he introduces his boyfriend to Burt and Carole. Burt walks up to Blaine. "it's great to finally meet you son" Burt says to Blaine as he shakes his hand before pulling him into a hug. "It's great to meet you too sir" Blaine responds. "Oh, none of that sir crap kid. Please call me Burt! And this is my wife Carole." Carole engulfs Blaine in a hug. "I've heard so many great things about you Blaine! It's a pleasure to finally get to meet you!" "Oh please, the pleasure is all mine," Blaine responds to Carole with a big grin.

"Oh!" Burt speaks up. "the game will be on in a few so I'm going to go turn on the tv. You into football Blaine?" "oh definitely! Blaine shoots back almost immediately. "Browns fan all the way!"

"Kurt you better keep this one." Burt chuckles, clapping his son on the shoulder. "Trust me I intended too," Kurt says with a smile.

Blaine and Burt make their way to the living room to watch the game and Kurt and Carole go into the kitchen to finish up lunch.

Kurt and Carole let out the occasional giggle when they hear the two men in the living room cheer and scream for the players. "Well seems like those too hit it off," Carole says as the tosses the salad in front of her. "Ugh thank god" Kurt responds while pouring his pesto mixture over the bowl of pasta sitting on the countertop. "Poor Blainey was so nervous that he would be marched out of here with a shotgun shoved in his back." The two let out a chuckle. "Well definitely not!" Carole says. I really like him, Kurt. And I can tell by the way he looks at you that he is totally in love with you. "And I am completely in love with him" Kurt sighs with a big smile as he grabs some plates to set the table.

Soon Carole calls out to the boys in the living room. "Lunch is ready!" She shouts. The four of them sit down to eat.

"So Blaine," Burt says as he scoops pasta onto his plate. "I understand you are from around here." "Yes actually," Blaine responds. "I grew up in Westerville, I graduated in 2013 from Dalton academy. I've always had a passion for teaching and working with children so I deceived to go into early childhood education. I got accepted to NYU and moved to New York. When I graduated I was offered a position teaching first grade at Audrey's school and accepted because of its inclusivity and Advanced programs. And well here we are now."

"Wow!" Carole says. "That's amazing." "He failed to mention that he also has an amazing voice and can play guitar like nobody's business." Blaine blushes as Kurt speaks. "Well, that too" Blaine chuckles as he leans his head lightly on his boyfriend's shoulder.

"And you are are a football fan!" Burt beams "Now if only I could get him to watch a game with me" Blaine huffs, playfully rolling his eyes. "You know Kurt actually did play football for a little while," Burt says. Blaine chokes on his water. "What!?!" Blaine gasps. "Unfortunately yes, I was the guy who kicked the ball into the thingy," Kurt says Vaguely gesturing.

"He was damn good at it too, the best kicker that school has ever have seen." Burt proudly adds.

"Wow, I guess you do learn something new every day." Blaine, Carole, and Burt chuckle once again. "Well enough about my straight phase" Kurt rolls his eyes.

The four of them continue on with the conversation. Laughing and chatting away for quite some time. Once they had finished eating Blaine offers to help Carole and Kurt clean up but is interrupted by Burt. "Actually kiddo I could use your help in the garage if you wanna meet me out there in a minute."

Blaine tenses up but looks at Kurt and is met with a reassuring nod. "That would be great sir. I'll just put my plate away and I'll meet you out there." "Ok" Burt responds. "oh, and son, please, call me Burt." Burt smiles and walks out through the door into the garage.

Once Burt is gone Carole speaks up. "Don't be nervous honey I can tell he really likes you." "I agree with Carole, everything's going to be fine. Now go on." Kurt gives Blaine a peck on the cheek before shooing him playfully towards the door.

"Hey, now that I have you alone for a second I wanna talk to you," Burt says to Blaine. "Lighten up kid I'm not going to hit you with the shotgun just yet. I just want to make sure that you are never going to do anything to harm my son or granddaughter. "Oh god no!" Blaine responds. " I love Kurt, I really do. And Audrey is an amazing little girl!" Burt claps him on the back. " I'm glad to hear that. I think you too are really happy together and I hope he keeps you around." "I hope he does too. It's truly incredible to see how close and accepting your family is."

They turn their heads to see Kurt standing in the doorway. "Hey Umm sorry to interrupt but Cedes just called. She and Sam have a dinner date planned tonight so she won't stop reminding me that I can't be late, Even though I'm convinced that Sam would take Audrey in a heartbeat if I let him. All three boys chuckle.

They walk back into the living room to say their goodbyes. "I better head on home too. My mom needs all the help she can get wrapping presents. In fact, I think she might be the worst gift wrapper in the state of Ohio." Kurt giggles "oh trust me, there's someone worse." "Hey!" Burt snaps back with a smile. "I heard that!"

Carole and Burt hug Blaine goodbye as he stands at the door. "It was so great to meet you," Carole says. "I'll second that" Burt adds.

Kurt and Blaine walk outside to their cars. Kurt steps in for a hug. "Call me when you get home?" Kurt asks. "Of course" Blaine replies. "I love you And I'll talk to you later tonight." Blaine kisses Kurt. "I love you too" Kurt adds before walking to his own car.
