Audrey and Kurt walk through the door of the Hudson-Hummel home to find Finn on the couch with Burt. Carson was snuggled into Finn's chest. Rachel could be heard from the kitchen chatting with Carole.
Audrey immediately jumped onto Finn to greet Carson. "Woah there little one!" Finn chuckled. Audrey managed to spit out a "hey uncle Finn!" Before the two cousins bolted upstairs to play legos.
"They really are best friends," Kurt says with a big smile on his face as He walked up to the couch. "Little bro!" Finn shouts before wrapping Kurt in a bear hug and ruffling his hair. "Finnnn" Kurt groans. "Watch the hair! And I have told you a million times I am OLDER than you!" Kurt is interrupted by a snickering Carole. "when you boys are done squabbling dinner is on the table." Burt laughs as he stands up off the couch. "I'll call the kids down you two go sit down." "Thanks, dad!" Finn calls practically halfway to the kitchen at this point.
Everyone takes their seat at the table. Kurt glares at Finn as he practically scarfs down his dinner. Kurt looks over at Carson and Audrey to find that Carson is doing the same thing as his father.
"He really is his father's son" Kurt whispers to Rachel with a giggle. Rachel looks at her boys before quietly gasping. "Finn and Carson Hudson where are your manners!?!" Both boys lookup with the same dopey look plastered across their face forks still in hand. The rest of the table breaks out into laughter. "Sorry mommy" Carson mumbles before continuing to eat his dinner.
After dinner, the kids go back to playing and Finn Carole, and Burt turn on a movie in the living room. Rachel and Kurt clean up dinner. "So how did it go today?" Rachel asks Kurt as he loads the dishwasher. "Great! Mom and dad really seem to like him! I mean I don't know how they couldn't he's kinda perfect." "Awe Kurt your blushing" Rachel responds while slapping him playfully with a dishrag. "Rachel? Kurt asks, "do you think Audrey will like him? I mean I know she's seen him around the school. Do you think it will be awkward because she knows him as Carson's teacher. Oh my god, what if she hates him and never wants to talk to me again! And what-" "KURT!" Rachel frantically cuts him off. "That is never going to happen! Audrey loves you more than anything. And Blaine is lovely. They are going to get along great I promise!"
"But-" Kurt tries to reason. "But nothing babe, Audrey is going to be happy for you! And I'm sure she wound mind having a wonderful funny person like Blaine around." Kurt moves in and gives Rachel a big hug. "Thank you," he says softly. "I'm here for you always." She replies.
The two best friends finish up in the kitchen and head upstairs to check on Audrey and Carson. They find the two little ones on the bed reading a book half asleep. "Looks like it's time for bed you too." Kurt says. "but daddy!" Audrey protests trying to hold back a yawn. "No buts," Rachel adds "you know you two Santa still has time to move you to the naughty list." The kids look at each other before bolting up from the bed to brush their teeth. Kurt and Rachel giggle as Kurt slaps Rachel's arm. "Rach that was mean and you know it!" He giggles once again. "Mean, maybe, but effective." They finish putting the kids to bed and go back to the living room.
The family of five watches another movie before calling it a night.
