*Many years later*

Kore paced the ground as Aslan spoke. The news she just received, shaking her to her core.

"After all this time? I've been in Narnia for near 150 years and it's happening now?"

"The time has come, child. I know I have been gone for a long while, but you have gained the respect and trust of the Narnians. Now, the other's are here to help you," The Great Lion said.

"You're right. Twice I have felt something enter Narnia," She replied, "but I don't think they're here anymore."

"Do not fret, Kore. They will return. All of them. And they will require guidance and help through their entire journey." Aslan said, placing a paw on her shoulder to stop her pacing.

"I'm just having a hard time believing that this will all be over soon."

"I know, but I think the Witch has ruled long enough."

"I wouldn't necessarily call what she has done ruling, Aslan." Kore laughed, remembering the first conversation the two had had.

"Neither would I, Kore." Aslan chuckled.

She sighed, "Will you excuse me? I need a moment."

"Take all the time you need, dear one."

Kore nodded before leaving Aslan's tent. He had only just arrived at camp that morning, but the air among the Narnians was different. Though they respected and loved Kore, there was something about Aslan that always brought a sense of peace to everyone. She felt it now, even when not in his presence. They knew what was happening just as much as she did, though they may not realize it yet.

Walking as she thought, she slowly made her way to the top of the hill near camp. Her favorite place to sit and watch the sunset, though that was many hours away. She looked towards the grand castle in the distance. Cair Paravel. The place where she and four others would soon rule. It was hard to believe that the time of the prophecy was finally upon them. She sighed, taking off her circlet and running her hands through her wild hair. She looked at the simple, interwoven crown and remembered the words her old teacher had once said,

*

Kore felt so overwhelmed as she sat on the hill. She had gotten so frustrated with her weapons training that she had stormed off. She had been in Narnia for almost a year but she still felt useless. She wasn't improving with a sword or a bow. She wondered if she would ever be enough to rule like Aslan and everyone else hoped she would be. She had been so preoccupied in her thoughts that she hadn't noticed her teacher approaching her.

"Kore, it is not like you to run off like this."

"I apologize, Sir. I just got frustrated with all of it. I haven't improved since we started."

The old centaur laughed, "Why do you say that?"

"It's true. I haven't won a single fight. How does anyone expect me to rule if I can't even wield a sword properly?"

"You judge yourself too harshly, Young One. When you first arrived, you couldn't even lift a sword, let alone fight with one. You do not see your progress because you expect so much of yourself."

"Its not just me who expects a lot. Everyone here does. How am I ever supposed to lead?'

"Look at me, Kore."

The girl stood to look at him.

"You do not know what us Narnians were like before you came. You have brought us hope where there seemingly was none, just like your prophecy said you would." He said smiling, "Listen closely to what I am about tell you and do not forget. It may not make sense now, but it will in time. Aslan is like the sun. Not always visible, but there even on the cloudiest days. You, my young queen, are like the moon. You stand humble, but bright. And though you may not be the first source of light people turn to, you are always there to guide the way."
