Memories
Damien Thorn x F! ReaderYou can't do this!" Damien screamed. His best friend and crush was going to go into war. This girl was (Y/N) (L/N) she was a human girl and Damien's only friend. When he moved into the small village at age five, everyone shunned him for being the prince of hell. But not (Y/N), she befriended the demon boy and asked to become friends. Since the encounter, they have been inseparable, the only people who accepted Damien were (Y/N) and her family. Now at age 15, (Y/N) is leaving her friend to join the army. Yes she may be a girl, but she is not afraid to fight. Everyone admired her determination to take down the people who had blew up the village so they let her in without question.
Sadly, not many of the villagers survived the bombing, including (Y/N) family. That's why she decided to join. For her family, and her village. On the other hand, Damien didn't want (Y/N) to leave. He feared she may be killed and he'd never see his beloved again. Yes he is a demon and can go in and out of hell as he pleases, but he can not go into heaven. Since (Y/N) so kind she may be sent into heaven if she does die. Just imagining your bloody body on the snowy floor brings him great pain in his heart. Damien clenched his shirt where his heart is and stared at the girl before him.
She had thick black boots and white pants. She wore a blue army coat with the villages symbol on the back and a black hat completed with a feather showing that she is the leader. On (Y/N) back laid a big shot gun with her father's signature on it. Yes her father was once the leader of the villages army. So since (Y/N) is his daughter she inherited the gun and the position in command to lead the great war. (Y/N) looked at Damien with a sad smile and put her hand on his shoulder.
"This is my duty Damien. Like how it is yours to rule Hell someday," she said. Damien shook off her hand from his shoulder and grabbed both of her shoulders on the verge of tears.
"NO! I don't want you to leave me!!" he shouted while looking down at both their feet. "I hate how I can't go and protect you," he mumbled. (Y/N) gave the boy a sympathizing smile.
"I'll be fine. And don't you dare try to follow Damien. You know that you aren't allowed to interfere with humans and war," she said in a warning tone. Damien clenched his hands at that statement. It was true, whenever the humans were at war or had big things happen, hell and heaven are not supposed to get involved. It was a rule that his father and God had agreed on. And Damien HATES it.
He shook his head and stared into (Y/N) eyes. (E/C) meeting crimson red. He squeezed your shoulders and pulled you in for a hug. You blinked, quiet shock that your usual hot-headed friend was being very sensitive. Snapping out of thought, (Y/N) wrapped her arms around him while Damien rested his face on the crook of her neck. "Please don't leave me alone...." he murmured into her neck.
(Y/N) pulled back from the hug and put her left hand on his cheek, caressing his cheek. Damien leaned his head more into (Y/N)'s hand, not wanting the feel of her soft hand leave his side. (Y/N) bit her lip and pulled Damien's chin so he was facing her. Damien opened his closed eyes and looked at you with a stray tear falling from his pained eyes. (Y/N) felt a stab in her heart at the sight. Not able to stand it anymore, (Y/N) leaned in and kissed Damien. Damien was quiet shocked but he made it last by kissing back passionately and sweetly. Sadly the moment had to end when one of the soldiers yelled for (Y/N), telling her the ship was ready for voyage. Nodding her head at the soldier, she shooed him away and faced Damien once more.
"I'll always love you Damien, but I need to do this. I'll return, I promise," she stated with determination shining in her eyes. "Don't be gloomy Damien! Just you watch me win this war, once it's over we can be together forever," she said with a bright smile. Damien gave a soft smile at her and nodded.
