I wake up with a jolt. I breathe heavily. I'm in a bed, with cotton sheets, and a human is looking at me.

I move away from him. I look behind him and see a girl. The girl has red hair, blue eyes, and freckles. Lots of freckles.

"How is he, Doc?" she asks.

The doctor inspects me and says, "He is fine. A few scratches and bruises, but he'll be alright."

She holds the door open for the doc, who walks out with a tilt of his hat. She comes over to my bed.

"Do you feel okay?" She asks. "That was a very courageous thing you did."

She inspects my face.

"You probably don't know where you are or what happened, do you?"

I don't answer. I just stare.

She looks over me some more and holds out her hand saying, "My name is Red. What's yours?"

I don't answer, or shake her hand. She sighs and sits back in a chair.

"Elliott," I say suddenly.

She looks over at me, surprised at my sudden words. To be honest, I surprised myself.

Red's face suddenly breaks into a smile. "Well, Elliott, I saw you save your friend. Wolfums always seem so mean to humans, but some aren't. You got hit by a stone and passed out."

I suddenly think of Harry, in his hurt state.

"Don't worry. Your friend is safe," Red says, as if she could read my mind, "Do you know why there have been so many Wolfum attacks lately?"

I shake my head, puzzled.

"There haven't been any attacks," I whisper.

"What are you talking about? There have been numerous attacks in the last week!" Red shouts, jumping from her chair.

Then she sits back down and thinks.

"Maybe there are different tribes?" She contributes, "Some of the attackers have looked different then others."

I nod. She looks at me and smiles.

"Let's talk about this later, when you're better," she says.

Then she walks to the door and walks out. I continue staring at the door. My neck starts hurting so I look at the ceiling. Red. Her name is Red. I keep saying her name in my head. Red.
