The day that Darry and Valerie got married was a happy day. And while they were partying, we decorated their car with "just married" signs and toilet paper. Boy, we made that car look real tuff (I was being sarcastic).
The move also worked out. Soda and I live in an apartment a few down from Grandma Curtis's apartment, and the happy couple moved to a nice house in the middle of town. Right in between Darry's friends, the greasers, and Valerie's friends, the Socs.
Well, it's been about two and a half years since all that happened, and I am almost seventeen years old. And I'm still in school. Not much has happened to me, though I do get to drive my tuff Mustang now.
Soda's doing well. Still works at that same old DX gas station. He proposed to Cherry recently, too. He's still happy-go-lucky, and, as I predicted, he's never gonna grow up.
Darry and Valerie have little two-year-old twins, Johnny Dallas Curtis and Abbigail Dawn Curtis, and they have baby number three on the way. Darry's going to school to become a lawyer, and only works one job now.
Really, I think our lives got a lot better after than one year. But I think the most important thing I learned was that everything's gonna be okay. And it was.
