3 years later: lumity fanfic

The Sleepover

sorry these updates aren't very constant! i kinda just publish chapters when i finish writing them. anyway, enjoy:

Amity's POV:

Once we escaped Leon's mansion I drew a quick spell circle to summon my scroll. almost midnight. Damnit. With a sudden pop the scroll disappeared, I must've forgotten to charge it. I looked down at Luz and decided it probably wouldn't be best to bring her home to Eda like this. I lead her further into the woods and let her lean against a tree. "Hey Luz, how would you like to stay at my house tonight?"i asked her. "Like a sleepover?" she asked excitedly "Yeah, like a sleepover" "With you?" I nodded and suddenly Luz had a big goofy smile on her face started mumbling to no one in particular in that language she sometimes slips into, 'Spanish' I think. "I need your rectangle thingy" she looked at me with a very confused expression then suddenly realized what I meant "oh! you mean my phone?" "yeah that" I remembered she had told me she brought Eda a phone from the human world when she came back so they could keep in touch. "Wellll okay... but don't check my search history~" she drunkenly chuckled and winked at me. I had no idea what she meant by that but took her phone anyway.
I found the icon labeled messages and opened Eda's contact. "Hey Eda! I'm staying at Amity's house tonight so don't worry about me!"  I stared at the message I had typed and decided to add a duck emoji to make it sound more like Luz. "alright, let's go back to my place" I slid her phone in my bag and put her arm back over my shoulder, leading her through the woods. All the way there she was blabbing on and on about any and every topic, it didn't seem like she knew who she was talking to though. I could've sworn I heard her mention missing me and that I was pretty a couple of times but decided to brush it off. She was drunk and had no clue what she was talking about.
When we arrived at my house I opened the front door and was both relieved and upset that I was greeted by not my parents, but Edric and Emira. "Hey mittens, oh hey Luz!" Edric said noticing Luz trip slightly over the door frame. "EDDY HEY MAN" Luz let go of me and nearly leapt into Emira's arms. "Uhm wrong twin, you okay cutie?" she asked, directing the question more towards me than Luz. "she's fine, just a little drunk, thanks to Leon" I said "that asshole" the three of us said in unison. Emira handed off Luz to me and we started up the staircase. "remember mittens, consent doesn't count if she's drunk!" shouted Edric "oh shut up Ed that's not what's happening here" I yelled back. [I know it's the bare minimum but I just know Edric CHUGS respect women juice] I heard Emira and Edric laugh at what just happened. Luz looked up at me and said "asking for consent eh?" I laughed a little "they were joking, Luz. We're just here so Eda doesn't have to see you drunk." "Whaatt, I'm not even that drunk" said Luz as she tripped up the stairs "sure you aren't".
When we got into my room I helped Luz sit on the bed and went to my closet to grab her some clothes. I handed her some black athletic shorts and a teal t-shirt and told her she could go into my bathroom to change. Once she stepped into the bathroom and closed the door I grabbed myself some navy blue athletic shorts and a yellow/orange tank top. I quickly slipped my clothes on, and heard a sudden thud against the bathroom door. Without thinking I burst into the bathroom to see Luz sitting on the floor leaning against the opposite wall. She had successfully put the shorts on but had somehow managed to get tangled up in the t-shirt with her arms sticking out in unnatural places. I dropped to the floor, balancing on the balls of my feet and helped her take off the readjust the shirt. We were both lucky she was wearing a sports bra underneath because it covered her more than a regular one would. I would've lost it if she were wearing any less.
I lead her to my bed and once she got situated I went to grab her a glass of water, luckily my siblings didn't give me too much shit while I was in the kitchen. Once upstairs, I handed her the water and watched her gratefully gulp the whole thing down. I turned off my bedroom light and crawled into the bed next to her. There was still light coming in from the window so i could vaguely see her face, she stared at me very inquisitively. she seemed to be scanning my face with her eyes, i saw her eyes focus on my hair, then down to my nose, to my lips, and back up to my eyes. i won't lie, my heart jumped a little when she glanced down at my lips. we stared at each other silently for a solid thirty seconds unlit she eventually broke eye contact and laid down. i laid on my back staring at the ceiling. I was lying in bed next to Luz. That's okay, right?
I turned to look at her but just then she wrapped her arms around my waist and placed her head right in the crook of my neck. "Eres tan perfecta y tan hermosa, Amity. Te necesito" I heard her whisper. I had no idea what it meant but I wrapped my arms around her shoulders, running my fingers through her hair. My stomach was doing backflips. "Your heart is beating really fast" she said looking up to face me. "oh? um oh sorry" I said, I could feel a hot blush rising in my cheeks "it's okay, I think it's kinda cute" she said burying her face in my chest and wrapping her legs around mine. I could feel my heart rate go up even more, if that was even possible, and felt Luz chuckle softly against my chest. 
eventually Luz dozed off to sleep and at long last so did I.

a little bit shorter than the rest of my chapters, it was hard to put a lot of fluff in here since luz is partially brain dead lol. also im a firm believer that Luz can only flirt in spanish. hope y'all enjoyed! [translation: "you are so perfect and so beautiful, amity. I need you"]
