"Problem?" Aurora eyed Destroyer's first in command uncomfortably as he spoke. She never thought she'd have to see him again. Never have to look at that face, have to continue to pretend to hate him. He had come on board after their attack on Caeli's sister planet, partly out of necessity, partly out of concern for Aurora.
Alexander was Destroyer's one and only lord commander whose presence was nothing more than an overseeing hand to everyone else but to her. Destroyer was still angry at him, but this, the torture that sepped through his eyes, the tourment of his soul having to be close to her unable to do anything. That was a far more suitable punishment than anything Destroyer could inflict himself. He actually didn't know why he hadn't done it sooner.
"I don't... I...." She was flustered, stumbling over the words fixated on Alexander. There was conflict in her eyes, fighting the desire to both be held by Alexander and kill him. She had every intention of forgetting him. "I have a thousand questions that can't even begin to put into words how much I loathe you!" She finally found her composure before him. Destroyer clasped his hands together, his fingers pressed into a triangle, his elbows resting on the arms of his throne. Aurora's rage clearly directed at someone other than him for once peaked his interest if only momentarily.
"Whatever issues you two have you need to figure it out." Destroyer seemed entirely unamused seeing her struggle with his presence. This was supposed to be Alexander's punishment, not her's.
"Why is he here?" Aurora questioned Destroyer looking up at him as she sat down at his feet.
"To fix a problem that you so eagerly pointed out." Destroyer was unwilling to admit he was too weak to leave. Playing this weakness off better than I gave him credit for, he ran his fingernails across her cheek, his eyes fixed on Alexander.
"I could have handled it." He knew she was capable, she had shown that many times, but she was still weak. He didn't want her to spend more time with the men than she had to. He needed her to heal completely.
"I would prefer it done without sacrificing my entire army." He played off his concern well. Leaning over her he teased her lips with his. "Do I need to remind any of you of your places." His fingers trace her side, long nails pushing in on her wound as a reminder.
"No my lord." Another voice answered in unison with Aurora and Alexander. It startled Aurora causing her to spin around only to see Damien stepping out of the shadows from behind the throne. Her heart raced as she began to panic. She was hoping he was gone, wanting him to be far away from here now that Destroyer had taken up residence.
"Bloody hell." She muttered under her breath glaring at the creature that dared call himself human. She could barely stand him as Destroyer's vesel, but to have the three of them in the same room, it made her skin crawl. He was conniving, lustful, arrogant even in front of his master. She hated him for it nearly as much as she hated Alexander.
"My orders include you, Damien." The smirk dissolved from his face. Alexander a bit too eager to have the boy under his command in a position where he was forced to submit to his authority.
"Just don't kill each other." Destroyer's hand traced Aurora's face standing beside her. "You know what to do." He addressed Alexander disappearing as he walked past him, he had to recuperate in darkness. Aurora glared at Alexander in silence trying to decide if she should stay or leave.
"Come on Aurora, you can't stay mad at me." Alexander was his normal charming self, she was having none of it.
"Oh let me count the ways or should I give you one." She turned her gaze to the old friend that had betrayed her. Cut her deeper than what even death could relieve. "Destroyer." Her fists were clenched digging her nails into the palms of her hands. Destroyer was the one and only thing she needed to hold over him. Blood dripped from her hand with every thought of how it was all because of him. That night the storm chased her Destroyer was after him, not her. The night he tore through her room it was because he could smell Alexander on her. He knew and he did nothing to stop it. Alexander scowled in anger, grabbing a hold of her face. "My lord." She bowed pulling away. "Don't you have business to attend to."
