"You will destroy her." A voice sounded like a trumpet in the dark, clear, crisp, angry. A figure walking towards Destroyer's fading form. His eyes flashed red turning toward him, the sense of agitation radiating like heat in a cold room.

"What concern is it of yours?" Lucifer stood before him dressed in roman armor, a sword on his hip, scared black wings draped upon his back like a tattered cloak that was never mended.

"She will be your downfall," His concern wasn't just for his master. "Our downfall." He continued. Destroyer shifted his lips in annoyance, unable to tell if this was concern for Aurora, jealousy, or something else entirely. He wasn't exactly wrong, this seemingly simple girl wasn't just a fircesome warrior on the battlefield, her abilities unrefined were dangerously unpredictable. Even if they could help her refine what she really was, there was no controlling her. Lucifer knew this first hand, she was his fall. With this ability he knew if she wasn't emotionally stable she could wipe out far more then the council.

"Remember your place angel or I'll do to you what I did to the others." He didn't like his decisions being questioned. Especially when it pertained to his creations.

"I thought you weren't afraid of anything yet you fear the truth." Destroyer thrust a hand forward grabbing ahold of Lucifer's windpipe stopping just short of crushing it. The fallen angel dropped to his knees in reluctant submission to his master.

"Truth, Lucifer. Let's talk truth. Aurora Angelice." He releases him making sure he stays on his knees where he belongs. "The first Dawn of the morning star. The first light in the world. It wasn't just you it was her at your side. She came before you and went after you, the first and the last. Destined to be born and die over and over again." Destroyer stooped down, looking Lucifer in the eyes.

"That's blasphemous even for me." The angel never did learn how to mind his place.

"There, right there." He pokes at an open wound that had never really healed. "There is the self righteous angel." He knew more about him and Aurora than even they knew of themselves. "I Am may be the Alpha but she is the one whom comes before and after all things. She is the pillar, the standard bearer that stands squarely on the line." Destroyer watched Lucifer attempt to fight the bonds of darkness, even he had issues existing in this place. "You can't even begin to fathom what she really is and what she needs. All that matters to you is your selfishness to have it all." He was cold-callus-calculated. The dark lord paces before the fallen angel in all the glory that was his in darkness.

"How am I any different than what you are." Lucifer spat out the words like acid burning away at Destroyer's facade. Destroyer's fingers tightened on the fallen angels windpipe, he was not a patient nor forgiving man.

"I only take what is mine." He shoved Lucifer back watching him slide through the darkness on his knees. He pulled his sword from its sheath digging it into the nothing so that Destroyer could not move him again.

"This isn't about taking just what is yours. It hasn't been for years. This is vengeance pure and simple. I know something about vengeance." Their eyes locked on each other in a battle for supremacy. "No matter what you think we both want the same things. We both want the council to pay for what they did to her, to all of us." Destroyer paced growling, blue energy sparking between his fingers. "I know you hate me."

"That's an understatement."

"I know you are angry she was there. I'm angry. They used her and manipulated us, thinking they could be rid of us all in one foul swoop. They're still trying to use her and you're letting them."

"Did you ever stop to think I'm using her to get to them." Lucifer scowled at the nonsense Destroyer was pushing. The same tired narrative that had changed drastically over the last few days.

"Really." He stood, scowling, folding his arms over his armored chest.

"You're reaching again." Destroyer warned approaching the angel aggressively.

"Am I?" It was more a composed statement then a question. He knew what he was doing, he had too know.

"You reached for power once before Morning Star. A lesson you seem to have forgotten as you attempt to reach for mine."

"Fuck it." Lucifer charged the Destroyer of Worlds throwing a shoulder into his torso. The force of impact threw him off balance, catching him by surprise. Destroyer's arms grabbed Lucifers biceps pushing him back. The two men caught in a back and fourth tug of war that neither was winning.

"You'll find I am not as merciful as your father." Destroyer's eyes grew darker seering intense flames into the angel.

"You will destroy her, all to take them down for her sake." Lucifer growled forcing a step forward only to be pushed back by Destroyer.

"You act like I care." Destroyer gained two steps of ground only to lose three.

"You destroy her and you destroy us both." Lucifer fell two steps back, adjusting his grip to Destroyer's collar. "You know it just as much as I do."

"Tell me Lucifer does it really bother you that she has chosen me over you?" His voice rumbled-low digging dagger-like nails into Lucifer's muscled biceps.

"Does it bother you to know she loves us both." Destroyer shoved Lucifer hard, throwing him backwards a good way out of his grip. The darkness pulsated seething with anger, rage, disdain. "You know I'm right, you see it too and you refuse to admit it. Just as I did." He propped one knee up, partially rising to his feet. His breathing was heavy as he tried to catch his breath. "We have to stop fighting." Destroyer clenched his fists, blood dripping from his scales to the ground. "We have to work together or we will lose her forever." Lucifer dropped both knees to the ground running out of time and energy. "You know I'm right."
