Four hours from now, the sun will start to set. And as usual, on my Saturdays, I go to this open court somewhere in the streets of my apartment building and play basketball with random people.

Jaemin would come with me but not to cheer for me or give me company but flirt with guys he found attractive.

Sometimes I just wish he won't see me going out of my apartment unit so he won't come with me. He doesn't miss one Saturday.

I took a break and sat on the bench as I hung my towel around my neck and drank from my tumbler.

I saw Jaemin walking on the other side of the street, walking slowly as he types on his phone and drinking his Slurpee.

He said he was thirsty so he went to the convenience store to buy something to drink. He took an hour buying it, though.

Finally, he put his phone inside his pocket and starts crossing the street. He walked towards me, still walking slow, or was it just me seeing him walk in slow motion?

"Why the fuck is it so hot?" he said as he sat down beside me and took off his peach baseball cap and used it to fan his face.

He drank from his Slurpee again and put it down on the ground as he laid his head on my lap.

"If you want to rest, you could just go home. You took an hour buying your Slurpee," I said.

"Yeah, I know," he answered and went silent after it.

I finished fixing my stuff and waited for him to say something or to get up.

"I saw my ex," he said.

Oh. So that's why he took long.

"Which one?" I asked.

He glared at me.

Of course, I know which one. He just had a breakup the other day.

"Funny how my exes have their girlfriends after our breakups," he faked a laugh.

Maybe if I confessed my feelings for him a long time ago, he'll love me instead. But I was so afraid. He's in a relationship every time I try to confess or he's too broken and it's not good timing.

He finally sat up and hugged his knees. He went silent again.

"Does it still hurt?" I asked but he didn't answer me.

I just stared at him sitting beside me. I could see tears forming in his eyes and five seconds later, he buried his face on his knees and started crying.

Every time he's like this, I just let him until he stops and that's when I start talking to him.

We don't care if people are looking at us, just minding our own business.

"Should I sleep over again tonight?" I asked in a comforting voice. He didn't lift his head but he nodded.
