Jungkook sighed as he sunk down on the couch after his daily classes. Usually Taehyung was the first one to arrive home, but today he was alone and the dorm was draped in a thick coat of deafening silence. The sunlight coming in from the living room blinds cast aesthetically pleasing shadows on the wall, painting the ceramic statue of Jesus in golden stripes. It was a peaceful scene and Jungkook felt a wave of inner peace extend throughout his body. The beautifully illuminated walls reminded him of Taehyung's breathtaking smile and he smiled lazily thinking about how charming the said persons looks were.
Six months. Six months had passed by since his first encounter with Taehyung. Six months since he had been submerged in a deadly hurricane of feelings. They had developed a strong bond of camaraderie, and it was getting harder to keep himself away from the beauty named Taehyung. He took a deep breathe as his heart tugged at its strings, coming to the conclusion that they were never going to be together. Why bother?...
He was just about to let his fatigued mind drift into a tranquil slumber when the door opened. He didn't give it much thought and instead decided to focus on curling up on the sofa and putting his hands between his thighs to keep out the winter chill as he was too lazy to get up and grab a blanket.
That was all until he heard a tiny sob. It was not new for Taehyung to come home crying but nevertheless Jungkook shot up from the couch and rubbed his eyes to ward away the sleep.
"Tae?..."
Another sob was heard from the direction of the kitchen.
Ah shit, what teacher had bitched with him now?...
As soon as he saw Taehyung's broken state he knew something was terribly wrong. He was bent over the kitchen counter trying to control his hysterical crying.
"Taehyung?! Tae...please tell me whats wrong."
Jungkook was horrified, what could possibly have happened to cause this innocent human being to shed so many tears? He was shaking and Jungkook knew what it felt like to be forced to form a coherent sentence while crying so he simply rubbed his back and tried to keep his equanimity under control.
Eventually, Taehyung leaned away from the counter and buried his head in Jungkook's shoulder, continuing the never ending circle of shedding tears. Jungkook didn't ask any questions nor say anything insensitive, he combed his hair with his fingers just how he liked it and even dropped a kiss on his forehead. Sometimes, letting someone cry to their full extent was better.
His crying did die down a bit, but he was still trying to catch his breathe and hiccuping into his shoulder .
"What happened?"he asked softly, gently cupping his face in his hands and making eye contact. He saw him take a deep breathe and begin the starting of a sentence in a shaky voice.
"M-Mr Han..."
"Mhmm... what did he do?"
"He... he touched me."
The time seemed to stop. Taehyung had stopped crying completely as if the effect of finally telling someone had taken away the panic from his state. He watched in mild panic mixed with fear as angry flames licked the insides of Jungkook's eyes. The eye contact only made things more intense. Speechless was...an underestimation for what Jungkook was feeling.
"He...what?"
"Please Jungkook, I'm not lying, I know he's our religious study teacher but-" he said this in a span of a mere second before a long finger silenced him.
"I know you're not lying sweetie."
His voice was stern and he knew, Taehyung just knew, that he was one second away from flipping a chair. He was clenching his jaw and staring into his eyes. Nothing was awkward about this. Nothing. His hands travelled down to his waist and gripped them on each side gently.
Taehyung's eyes were the ocean.
And Jungkook wanted to drown...
