16. DESTINY CALLS

Chapter 38 : New Friend

New sipped sweet iced tea with a sneer, still not accept the humiliation on a busy street.  Cherry sat beside New and chattered cheerfully.

"That's why you have to exercise, don't just eat. Just a little push why fell unconscious."

New is getting annoyed grunts, pushed a little?  Throwing 1 meter is just a little bit !!!

Arthit felt guilty and said, "Sorry New, I didn't know it was you, I was shocked and the baby made the attack without seeing who tapped me first."

New who was still annoyed and complained a little, "Your baby is too tough Arthit."

WHAT!!!

Baby are just defending myself!

This baby is so gentle and caring.  From which point of view this baby is rough.

Cherry who heard the baby's complaint giggled, "It's true you defended yourself because you were surprised and my uncle is really weak, like a straw."

New glared at Cherry but Cherry pretended not to notice.  There is a chance for revenge on the uncle who often teased her.  Cherry seized the opportunity without missing a beat.

Arthit was quite surprised, Cherry was only between 1-2 years old but very fluent.  She knew many words and every word was heard clearly.  Cherry knew Arthit's thoughts and smiled proudly and laughed coquettishly.

"I'm smart, uncle."

Arthit gawked briefly before returning to full awareness, "You're so smart. You know a lot of words at your age. I hope baby will be smart like you."

New shook his head disapprovingly, "You have no idea how fussy they will become. They're like a broken radio with unlimited batteries."

Cherry nudged New in the stomach in disapproval, she's a graceful princess, not the same as a broken radio.  As soon as the baby feels like Cherry, they immediately decide to be friends.

"Uncle, when will the baby come out?"

Arthit replied softly, "It won't be long."

"Hopefully sooner. I want to see what kind of baby face."  Cherry glanced at the uncle next to her, then whispered, "don't be like Uncle New."

"Cherry, I heard that."

Cherry stared with innocent eyes, "Hear what?"

"You said I was ugly."

"I didn't say that, but finally you realized what you looked like."

"You ... no snacks for you."

Cherry put on an aggrieved face, frowned sadly.  The baby immediately coaxed Cherry.

Come to my house.  Lots of meat.

Cherry's face brightened up again, "Really?"

Right.  Let's eat as much as you want.

Behind the cheerful baby and Cherry, Arthit winced for one more mouth to be fed.

"I-I can't do this."  Reject Kit shaking under the glare from his section head.  The section head turned a sharp gaze with a smile.

"Why? This is not your first time. What's your reason?"  Although he said softly but the head of the department put in a certain meaning

"This is a planned abortion. Not an abortion by accident or other dangerous circumstances."  Previously, Kit had an abortion operation before, but it was in a condition that required it to be done for the safety of the mother.  But now the head of the department asked him to perform an abortion operation on the mother and baby who are perfectly healthy.

The department head certainly knows the principles that Kit is upholding.  But he has seen many doctors who uphold their medical ethics, many more who succumb to temptation.

"The mother asked. The mother didn't want the baby. She's a victim of rape."

"But ... but ... even so ..."
The superintendent immediately cut him off, "the presence of the baby is torture for her. Every day she suffers, the longer she gets more and more depressed. This is not a good thing for the mother or the baby."

Kit faltered slightly, the section chief launching another attack.  "Do you want both of them to get hurt? Where is your sympathetic Kit!"

Kit knows the department head has a reason and it makes sense, but deep down inside Kit, his conscience balks at it.

"Kit .. your career path is still long, you also have to think about your future."

Kit gave up, although he reluctantly nodded his head.  This reason is still logical even though it is painful.

After Kit left, the department head received a call and said a few words.

"He agreed to do it."

"There are many documents in his name, he will not be able to escape."

"The health ministry will find out about this soon, and we have it ready. He's a good scapegoat."

"Of course. Our plans will go well."

"Thank you sir."

Arthit and Kongpop have a chat before they go to sleep.

"Shall we go on vacation?"

"Vacation?"

"I already applied for leave after the final exams. That way I can keep you company all the time, after all we haven't gone on our honeymoon after marriage."

Arthit knows that, new couples usually go on their honeymoon after marriage, but the conditions are a bit difficult now.  His stomach is getting bigger.  But Arthit also didn't want to disappoint Kongpop.

Arthit took Kongpop's hand and gripped tightly, "We'll go after the baby is born, how about it?"

Kongpop cheerfully welcomed Arthit's suggestion, "Of course, baby's safety is the most important."  Kongpop immediately imagined he and Arthit walking alone on the beach, hand in hand watching the sunset without any baby disturbance.  Very romantic isn't it.

Arthit screamed to make Kongpop wake up from his reverie and said worriedly, "What's wrong?"

"I don't know. The baby kicked me in the stomach. Looks like he's not happy."

Arthit was confused, Kongpop was even more confused.  What makes baby unhappy?

Papa and mama want to leave after the baby is born.

Baby is not happy !!

Mini teather:

Baby: Papa is evil!  Want to go on vacation without a baby.

Papa: The baby has been in mama stomach for 9 months.  It's time for papa's turn to be in mama's stomach.

Baby: * raises war flag *

Arthit: Hey!  This is my stomach !!
