"Is what WE are feeling so bad that you want to avoid it? in case you missed it, I used the word we since the feeling is mutual and the only difference is my lack of concentration due to my testosterone can ruin the lives of a lot of people."

"Matt, can we not see each other for a while until we get things under control? please?" she requested pleadingly.

"On the contrary sweeting, what we need is more time together and see if we can get sated and bored of each other. Will send my driver to pick you up after work tomorrow."

" Matt, no, I wont see..." she tried to refuse a meet up with him but before she could finish her statement Matt had already disconnected his phone. 'Lord help me out she thought'

That night, none of the had a restful night. the following day Matt was in a heated meeting with his board members who were doubting his latest risky venture. in Matts' view the higher the risk the higher the returns, so he couldn't afford to be deterred in his mission by these old geezers who only wanted to fatten their pouches while still being afraid of taking risks. For the two hours they been debating about the project, he just kept quiet while looking at them with a blank face never giving out the distaste he felt towards them. In that whole bunch of eleven directors with him excluded only one shared his vision of taking the company to greater heights. Having had enough of the bickering he rose up, unbuttoned the two buttons in his suit, put both of his hands in his pocket and then looked straight and hard at each and every one of the selfish men on the table then looked at his personal assistant and said "Tell me when they leave." he then left the room without looking back or saying anything to them. One of the directors said," Till I met him i have never seen or been treated with the kind of arrogance that Matthew shows us. I mean we have the right to look at our interest, we don't want to lose our money while he is trying to chase his new high!!"

Craig, who happens to be the only director who supports gets Matts visions couldnt keep quite anymore from the injustice of the statement Daniel, I have never seen you complaining every time Matts new high as to fondly called them fattens your account! Spare us your double standards. Listen gentlemen just like you, I have invested my money in this company, and the reason I did and am pretty sure all of you did is because you believed in the CEOs vision, the CEO hasnt changed nor his zeal to take this company to the top. Before I make my request to each and every one of you, I would like to ask you, have you lost a single penny from the time you invested in the company? Do you still trust in Matts vision and his competence as the CEO? And lastly do you think he can sink his own company by getting into a venture he doesnt believe in? if the answers are Yes, then lets give him our support and if your answer is No, I think you on boarded the wrong ship given its captain doesnt fear sailing towards the eye of the storm. When he was done the other directors kept quite from the dress down and for the fact that Craig was right. They are invested in Matt because they believed in him and his vision and over the years they had seen how his risk taking paid off big plus he always did his due diligence before venturing in any risk. In the meantime, Matt was in his office engaged in an oversea teleconference with the company he wanted to take over. To his relief this was not a hostile takeover which was a welcome break from the norm, the new addition was formally owned by graduates who knew the potential their product has and what it can be in the hands of a forward thinker like Matt. When they approached him with their product and pitched their idea to him, he was dumb struck by what the brilliance the team of three had. There and then he made the decision to buy the rights and the product patent and as per their request, apart from the billion dollars they were getting, they wanted to be left a 12% stake in its return. On his part after listening to the pitch, he countered offered them with 3% and give them jobs with benefits as the team leaders in charge of the chip a deal to which they agreed to. So far they had concluded 98% of the handover the remaining part was the initial testing reports. As his meeting was ending his PA came in to update him on the decision made by the directors. He was proud of Craig for stepping up again to shape up the other directors, without him he would always be at logger head with them owing to the fact that he patience ran low on people who didnt see the big picture. Funny enough he has recently observed that his Sam brings out the patience in him, talking about Sam he couldnt wait to see her and reassure her that they need to work out how they can handle being in each others life without causing damage to the other emotionally. He knew that Sam isnt the mistress kind of girl but he didnt want a label though he doesnt want to lose her.

Sammy was also having a bad day after receiving a rejection letter from visions ltd she didnt go to work and asked her friend to cover her shift for her. She couldnt believe that despite her grades and the extra credit she got from volunteering in different groups she still couldnt score her a position in the prestigious company as an intern. Meeting Matt today didnt seem like a bad idea then, she needed a cheer and that he could do for her. She always found him interesting there was never a dull moment when he was around, she never had to pretend to be dumb to impress him. He found her perspective to the things he asked refreshing so he says. He was witty, driven, smart scratch that, she found him very smart, well informed, handsome and with a very disarming smile. That smile came from a very sexy mouth that drove her to heaven and higher. Just then her mum called her from down stairs saying that she had a visitor.

When she went down stairs she found her guest was Matt and she was taken a back.

Mrs. Richard, am kindly requesting to take Sam out for a cup of coffee, I want to cheer her up. He lied not knowing how true his statement was at that moment and that was the reason her mum gave the go ahead since Samantha needed cheering up after being rejected by her dream company.

Matt, may I have a word with you. Mrs. Richard asked.

I know what happened between the two of you and I know that has her confused. Sam is very innocent when it comes to love and I dont want her jaded from whatever it is that you have with her. If you arent serious about her, dont start anything and if you are serious, treat her as she deserves. This is coming from her mother as I dont want to see her hurt.

if its any consolation Mrs. Richards, I think am in more trouble when it comes to her than she is of me. If I ever hurt Sam, it won't be intentional you have my word.
