chpt 1: the encounter

[minju's pov]

i felt someone following me from behind as i walked back from school alone. i stayed back in school to help my classmates clean up the class since they needed extra help.
it was uncomfortable for me since the way back home was too long and dark.

just then, i spotted someone infront of me. tall and built up abit, praying its someone from my school and year "BABY, im heree !!" i shouted as i ran towards him. as expected, by the sudden outburst, he turned and saw me running to him.

[sunwoo's pov]

i turned from the sudden outburst and saw a girl running to me. she'd shout out of nowhere and there were no one infront of me so i had no choice but to look back.
in a blink of an eye, she was gripping on to my school uniform smiling ever so wildly as though she was scared and acting.

"I need your help, someones following me" she said as she smiled cheerfully.

without checking if there was really someone following her, i pulled her close to me and pecked her forehead with a kiss, not wanting to make the small act look fake.

"mmh lets go, i'll take you back home. lead the way" i shot her back.

[third person pov]

walking through the dark path as minju's grip on sunwoo's blazer tightened. both their hearts pounding out of their own chest from the sudden action.

finally, when it seemed like it was a neverending path. they reached a lighted house, minju's grip loosened and soon enough her hand was no longer in contact with his blazer.

sunwoo looked back and saw that the men that was following her had already left. he sighed with relief.
minju looked up to take a good look at sunwoo's face.

"kim sunwoo?"

"lee minju?"

both figures said at the same time as they shot each other a look of relief.

"oh and thanks by the way, get home safely" minju said as she smiled giving him reassurance.

"next time walk with a friend" sunwoo said cooly.
