Why Me?

Chapter 1

Hi I'm Alex, I'm fifteen and I just moved from the big city of New York to the small town of Washington, Oklahoma. Okay so on with my story.

It was the first day of my new high school. Everyone was outside waiting to start the first worst or best four years of their lives. As for me I was around the corner by myself. One minute passes by,then another. Then this girl with a mixture of blonde, brown, and red hair comes around the corner. You can tell it's all natural because there is not the slightest hint of dye or roots. "Hi! I'm Gennie! You must be the new kid... ummm?" she said.
"Alex." I said.
"Yeah that's it." she smiled. Wow she had a really great smile. "So are you a freshman?" she asked.
"Uh... yeah."
"Me too. Well I'll try to show you around. I don't really know which room is which." she said as the bell rang. As we entered the building I realized just how many people were in high school. For a small town it was a lot. And when I say a lot I mean A LOT. "Hmmmm... lets see. History room 206. Uh I think it's on the left side of the building. " I heard her mumble under her breath. "Oops I'm sorry. " I said as I bumped into someone.
"Ah yes it is over there. Okay. So what class do you have first?" she asked.
"Uh, history." I said.
"Oh! Awesome, follow me!" As we arrived Gennie got this very annoyed look on her face. "Just to warn you stay away from the girl with the blonde and brown hair and also the one with the fake red hair. " she said as we found our seats.
"Okay." I said.
"You aren't very talkative are you?" I shook my head.

(A/N: her name is pronounced like Jenny.)

The bell rang to let us know that it was lunch time. On our way out of class Gennie had to go by her locker to put her stuff up, so I followed her. Just seconds after we arrive at the locker this girl with brown, wavy hair, and a bunch of freckles shows up. "Gennie! I missed you so much!" the girl squeals.
"Ahhh! Rise!" Gennie squeals as she gives her a bear hug. "Oh! Rise this is Alex. Alex this is Rise."
"Hi!" Rise said shyly. I nodded my head at her. "Okie dokie. Are we ready to head off to lunch?" Gennie asked.
"Yep, I'm ready!" Rise said.

So we are in the cafeteria finding our seats. They chose a table at the very back. There is a few boys sitting there. Only one I recognized because I had seen him around.
"Hey. You know that's my spot!" Gennie giggled,"Scooch it."
"Sorry,but I got here first." a boy with brown hair said.
"Don't make me move you myself."
"Okay,okay." So the boy moved down one. "Logan you know you're supposed to sit two down from Rise. So get your butt over there." Gennie said.
"Umm, Gennie, if you don't mind I would like to sit next to you. " I said.
"Oh no, I don't mind. Gabe scooch down one more please. " she said. He slid down one more with a huff. "Thanks." I said.
"Welcome." he said.
"Mmm, before I forget I need to introduce you to everyone. Alex, that's Gabe. That's Kayla, Logan, Levi, Mason, Michael,and of course Rise."Gennie said. Then this really tall guy walks up to our table. "Hey."he said.
"Ello." Gennie said in a sing-song voice.
"Mind if I sit here?"
"Nope don't mind at all!" Gennie started to blush really bad.
"Thanks." the boy smiles at Gennie. So we sat there and ate our lunch (spaghetti and meat balls). Gabe and Gennie were being really perverted. You could only imagine what they were saying.

The rest of the day consisted of going from classroom to classroom. Then finally heading home.

We had just gotten on the bus when a little kid with blonde hair and a face that looked a lot like Gennie's said,"Sissy! Can you sit by me please?"
"Sorry, Jakey, not today." she said.
Shortly after, the bus had taken off. Gennie got off; so I was left there by myself.

"Hi honey, how was school?" my mom asked as soon as I walked into the house.
"It was okay." I said.
"Make any new friends?"
"Sort of."
"Like..." I sat there and told her about Gennie and all of her friends. "Well Gennie sounds like a nice girl. " my mom said.
