I didn't wake up until 10:00 the next day. I got up to go to the bathroom then I realized something. Gennie wasn't there. My heart started to race. I ran out of my room looking for her. Nope not in the kitchen. Not in the living room. Not on the front porch. (Crap I really need to go. Where is she.) I thought.

"Well she is certainly not in the bathroom. Where is she?" I said aloud. I looked in the guest bedroom: nope not there. My mom's room: not there either. Where is she? Then the worst thing came to mind. (Her dad took her home against her will. She would've never gone back if she had the choice. But she was in my bed at 3:00 this morning I would have heard her. Crap.) I thought. "Crap! Where could she freaking be?" I said. Then all of a sudden I realize there is still one place I haven't checked. The back porch.

Sure enough she was there. She was reading a book. But she was reading it backwards? Hmm interesting. "Hi." I said. She nearly jumped out of her skin, she must have been pretty into that book. "Whatcha doing out here all by your lonesome?" I asked.
"Reading." she said.
"But why out here?"
"Because I can get loud when I'm into a good book"
"Loud?" (A/N: yes people can be loud while reading. Trust me I live with one of those people. Plus I am one so don't judge. Okay back to the story.)
"Yeah. I tend to yell at the book when a character does something that I don't like or something that was really stupid." she said.
"Oh okay. Yeah I can see where you can do something like that. Do you mind if I sit?"
"No." Her face just turned bright red.
"Cool." We sat in silence for awhile. Then I said,"So,whatcha reading?"
"Oh! Alice in the country of clover, Cheshire Cat Waltz 5."
"Is it any good?"
"I wouldn't be reading it,if it wasn't."
"What's it about?"
"Well, basically it's what would've happened if Alice stayed in wonderland."
"So is that the cat on the front?"
"Yep. That's Boris. Or also know as the Cheshire Cat."
"But... that's a human."
"A cute one. All the animals in the movies are humans in this."
"Did you just call him cute?"
"Maybe. Maybe not."
"You seem like the type of girl that would call him hot."
"Okay,he is hot!"
"So are him and Alice a couple?"
"Like the cutest couple ever! Ohh. Boris sticks up for her when she's in trouble. He's very protective of her. He loves her to death. Alice loves him to death too. Ohh. I would do anything in the world to be in Alice's shoes. The only downer is that everybody loves an outsider. So I would have tons of guys trying to date me." She stares off into the distance. I wave my hand in front of her face to bring her back. "Oh. Sorry,I can kind of get lost sometimes." she said.
"No problem. So when's your birthday?" I had an idea in mind.
"September 18. Why?"
"Just wondering."
"Otay." And there she goes. Back to the book. I sat there for awhile. Not wanting to leave her side. It's pretty funny you know. We just met two days ago, and we are already acting like we've known each other for years. "Noooooooooo." I hear Gennie say.
"What?" I asked.
"I finished the book." She gave me this pouty face. Then she pulls another book out of her bag and starts to read it. It's called Anna Dressed in Blood. "So are the clouds dry?" I asked. She didn't reply. I softly touched her arm. She almost jumped out of her skin. "Are the clouds dry?" I asked again.
"Oh, yeah. They're dry." she replied, her nose still stuck in the book.
"Can we work on it?"
"Hold on. Let me finish this page."
"Okay." It must be a really good book. After she finishes we head back into the house. "Okay, so how are we doing this?" she asked.
"Umm. I thought we doing it like we have what you did on one side. What did alike in the middle, and what I did on the other side."
"Well, unless you read and played video games for most of the summer, I don't think we did a lot of the same things."
"Well let's see. I moved from New York, I took a plane from there to here. I read a couple chapters in my book. Played a couple of games on my phone. And that pretty much sums up what I did."
"Hmmm. I read a lot of graphic novels. Worked at the Edmond farmers market. Then played some of my new ps2 games. Swam. And that's about it. Oh and I went to New Mexico for a week."
"Yeah I don't think we did many of the same things. So what are we going to do?"
"Well we can stick with the original idea to where I have what I did and what you did. Just with out the things in the middle."
"Okay I gu...." She cut me off. "We can do like a collage of everything. How does that sound?" she asked.
"That's great. Just one problem. Where are we going to get the pictures?"
"No problem." She pulled out this huge stack of magazines out of her bag. "I talked to Mr. Cameron on open house."
