Trusting God

Have Faith!

And to trust someone your life, is not an easy task. I mean you can't just randomly trust someone without even knowing them. That's basic, right?

Knowledge about our God is important. Though knowing doesn't really save us... what saves us is our faith. But you can't trust if you didn't know. Faith comes from hearing the Word of God. If you have heard then you will know and when you have known you will then understand and believe what you have heard.

Faith is about trusting completely & faithfully in Jesus Christ. To let go of that branch you hold on to and just let God do the work, which is catching you everytime you fall or in leading you in the right path.

You didn't saw Him down there and you just heard His voice and in what He said that He will catch you and you did let go and trusted that voice, you trusted Jesus Christ. That's Faith. You will be saved because He is faithful to do what He has spoken but you wouldn't be able to trust Him if you haven't known His faithfulness and great power.

You know what, in every struggle we are facing today... every problems we face we hold on unto something that we think can save us, like how that man was holding on the branch, as if his life is depending on it... it might be money/wealth, your career, someone- your parents/siblings/guardians/friends, anything that is not of God, and if it isn't Christ then it can lead into nothing but death. That's the reality. One day your hand will get tired because our human strength cannot sustain the needed force to hold on-- we are fighting against gravity and some other factors that can disturb us from holding any longer because the reality is that we need God's grace in our lives.

Whatever you are holding on today in your life... be sure to let it go and just let God.

In the story, the man obviously didn't know Jesus and he couldn't even recognize God's voice... Because if we truly knew God then knowing His voice is easy.

Faith comes if you have knowledge. We can get to know God thru His Word... Also it is mentioned in Romans 10:17 "...faith cometh by hearing, and hearing the Word of God."

And the kind of faith that we need that saves is trusting on the one who died for you to live, trusting on Jesus. In Him who had rose again from the dead and He is alive.
