Focus your attention on Jesus.
"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith..." -Hebrews 12:2
Why do God wants us to focus on Jesus?
Because He knows that satan will always deceive us with his lies.. To take away the salvation God has given us.
Jesus has nothing but the truth... He is the truth. (John 14:6)
We should look unto Him, as our lives depends on Him because He is the way, the truth and the life. (John 14:6)
If we seek Him, and will get to know Him... We will be confident that He is able to rescue/save us in every struggles we are in today and tomorrow.
By seeking Jesus continually we are building our relationship in God. Hence, knowing our God His Word, His voice and in what He is capable of doing.
Do you think that man, who was holding on the branch would continue to hold on to it if he knew who Jesus was? If he recognized God's voice i don't think so. He would have let go and Jesus would have catch him without fail... If only he had faith. It would have made a difference. Huge difference.
We fail to be save because we fail to look unto Jesus, who has brought salvation to man.
For us to be saved, we should believe on Him whom salvation was made possible.
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved..." Acts 16:31
