A month after
Natalie POV
"Abigail!" I called my new housekeeper. I sent Ruth on retirement. I sometimes really miss my old lady but my new housekeeper isn't bad either. She always sends me rolling on the floor with uncontrollable laughter. When I decided on sending Ruth on retirement and employing a new house help, Abigail begged to offer herself. Initially, Lexis and I didn't agree but when she threatened us that she'll leave our home if we don't let her, we agreed. Lexis and I have grown found of Jayden and wouldn't risk him losing his bright future. Abigail said helping us run the house is the least of things she could do to say thank you to us."Jayden!" I called my little boy when his mum couldn't respond. There's a possibility that she's not in the kitchen.
"Yes aunty Natalie." Jayden came running to my side.
"What's wrong?" He asked in awe when he saw water running on my legs.
"The....mmm...babies" Before I could finish my sentence, the smart little boy left the hall to call his mother."Abigail the babies are coming!" I screamed when I saw her and she ran to my side.
"I'll need you to relax. Breath in and out." She gestured with her hands.
"Stay calm. I've called sir and he said he'll be here in no time with the doctor. Right now all I need you to do is to breath in and out while I set the place for your water birth." Abigail said and rushed out of the room to set the place up.
For about ten minutes, I was breathing in and out. I heated a sigh of relief when I heard a chopper land on top of our building."Are you okay?"Lexis rushed to my side.
"Does it look like I'm okay?" I sassed him. He's the most annoying person to me right now. How can I be okay when he put me in this state.Lexis POV
I first sent the chopper to pick Doctor Ali's assistant, a midwife. She has advised me not to take anything that Natalie will say in the labor room to heart. She said about eighty eight percent of women in labor deal with their husbands when pushing the baby. Steve advised me to stay out of such drama but I refused to listen to him because I wanted to be there by the side of my princess and encourage her that she can make it.
When Natalie replied me in an angry tone, I knew she is no exemption from those women who suddenly hate their husbands during labor. Her reply alone showed that she wasn't ready for any monkey business.
"Don't touch me!" She shouted at me when I offered to carry her to the room. I raised my hand up in defeat and allowed Abigail and the midwife to carry her inside.
I chose a water bath for my princess because I heard it's easier and less painful to the normal one."Mrs.Miltmore, allow your husband to stand by you. Apply pressure by pressing his hand when you need to push okay?" The doctor instructed Natalie and she listened.
"Now I'll count up to three and you'll push." The midwife said.
"One, two, three. Push!!" We instructed Natalie and she pressed my hand hard in the cause of pushing.
"It's all your fault. Your big dick can't lie flat at rest. Now look at me" Natalie lamented. I stole glances and saw that both Abigail and the midwife are laughing to what Natalie just said.
"Push!!!" The nurse instructed her again and she pressed my falages, pushing.
"Evening, afternoon, morning." Natalie mixed the periods in a day and I laughed. Unlucky for me, she caught me laughing.
"The head is almost out." The midwife said happily.
"One last push."
"Why won't you laugh? All that you have to do is to pour your juices in me and send me here crying in pain" She lamented more and gave her last push.
"It's a boy." The midwife said when the baby came out and cut the umblical cord. Natalie and I exchanged happily looks. Cries of my little prince filled the room and I smiled. She bathe him in a sink and returned to us with him wrapped in a fine white cloth.
She gave the baby to Natalie and she admired the baby for a while before putting her nipple in his mouth.
"He looks like you." She raised her head to look at me. Just a while ago you were blaming me for thrusting in you. How would I have gotten a mini me if I didn't play my part well. I said in my head.
"He took your pretty nose as well." I observed my son closely before saying that.
"Thank you for making me a mother." Natalie said with so much joy.
"Thank you too for making me a father" I repeated what she said and gave her a lingering kiss.
"I love you Lexis"
"I love you more my Queen" Natalie kissed me again.
"Can I feel him too?" I asked Natalie and folded my arms, ready to collect my prince. He's indeed a photocopy of me. I played with his tiny hand and he held on tight to my index finger. I felt a sudden father and son bond form between us.
Natalie placed her hand on her chin and admired us.
"Welcome home my prince. I want to tell you that you're the son of a lion and lioness so you should never be afraid of anything in the world but God." I kissed his forehead and played with him more."Fifteen minutes is up. Time to welcome the next baby."
The midwife walked in and took my baby boy and tugged him in his criddle.
The second segment was full of more drama than the first one.
"She's out! It's a girl" The midwife exclaimed excitedly and went to the sink to clean her body after cutting her umbilical cord."Awww they're so cute." Amalia said with admiration when the whole family and friends were allowed to enter the room when the place was cleared.
"Your best friend is finally out, say hi to her." Arisca spoke to her baby girl, Alethea happily.
"I'm happy that my babies are finally here. I can't wait to play with them." Jayden jumped in the room up and down.
"Come and say hello to your babies" Natalie called Jayden and he run to her side.
"She's so pretty and tiny" he said when he held our baby girl and we all laughed at his innocence.
"Yes love, that's how all fresh babies are. You were tiny like her when I gave birth to you but look at you now." Abigail explained everything to her beloved son.
"What are their names?" My dad asked us.
"Lucas Elliott Miltmore and Lakeisha Miltmore." I replied like the proud father and husband that I am.
"Aww you named them after their great grandparents, they're going to be great." Dad said happily.
