All I Know

Chapter Three

Alice POV

I had agreed to go out with Liam on Friday. He wouldn't tell me where, all he said was to dress warm. Today is Tuesday, and tomorrow I move to my new place. I decided to leave my apartment, I was lonely. I found a girl my age, looking for a roommate. Her name is Sasha, we talked a few times and she agreed to have me. I saw the apartment, it's stunning. I have a big closet, one I can walk into. A dream come true. Liam said he'd help me move in, I declined, only because I didn't want my new roommate to think I was a ho, bringing a man over on her first day.
Wednesday came around, Tiny and Zoom were anxious during the car ride, but it was worth the wait, or at least for Tiny. As I arrived to the apartment, an attractive man was standing outside with Sasha. I parked and got out, sasha approached me. "Hi, so this is like, my husband, Dan." I looked at him and smiled, "nice to meet you."
Dan came to the car, and insisted on carrying the heavy stuff, which really was only one box. Dan enjoyed making Sasha smile, I say that because he panted and pretended to be out of breath, the box was 40 pounds.
As we carried everything inside, Zoom and Tiny made themselves at home, smelling everything and claiming places to sleep. I thought about Liam, and how I wish he was here. Zoom came into the room, and jumped onto the bed, which I made with the blue comforter I've had for three years. I need a new one, maybe something pink. I placed the only photo of my grandmother on my bedside table. She looked young for an 89 year old.
Tiny came in, meowing at me.
"What is it girl, show me?"
Tiny meowed and ran out of my bedroom, stopping to look back and make sure I was behind her. She stopped and sat at her food bowl.
"How rude of me Tiny, let me fill that up." I filled the bowl, the noise attracting zoom as he came running out of the room and over to the food bowl.
Dan came into the kitchen, looking at the cats, "oh, is it dinner time?" I looked at him, I figured he was making a joke, so I fake laughed. He smiled.
"Hey girly, so Dan and I are going to a club and we'd very much like it if you came along. There'll be guys." Sasha was in the kitchen now as well, Dan wrapped his arm around her waist.
"Well, I really might just stay here and read, I've already got a guy..or at least maybe." I thought of all the ways Liam could reject me, and probably would.
"Oh, girl talk, yes," Dan pulled out a stool and sat down, putting his hand under his chin, "so, what's his name?"
Sasha looked at him and playfully rolled her eyes, "he's just trying to make you laugh, it's what he does best."
I smiled at Dan, "well, his name is Liam. Our first date is Friday."
Sasha and Dan smiled, then looked at each other and laughed, then back at me again, one more time.

"Well, I hope you have a good date, I love love, and I can't wait to hear all about it!" Sasha said, as her and Dan slipped out the front door. I sighed.

I made my way back to my bedroom, hanging up my curtains and the last decorations I had. As I finished, I made way to the closet, which was mostly empty since I didn't have many clothes. I lay on my bed, Tiny and Zoom joining.

"Well, I suppose it's time to shop." I laughed, getting up and sliding on my shoes. I took my car keys and headed to my car.

I decided to go to the shopping center about five miles away from me. Many of the stores were having sales, I was bound to find something.

There's a store called Green4, no idea where the name came from. I found a winter coat and a few pairs of boots. I went into a few more stores, getting things here and there. My favorite store, however, is not a clothing store, but a bookstore. Books Galore it's called, and they have every book imaginable. I grab a couple books that I already own, for Liam as a gift for Christmas. Then I pick out a book for myself. I think about how many books his library could hold, maybe two or three whole bookstores.
I took out my phone and texted him,

Hey, how is everything?

I locked it and walked to my car, the phone beeped,

everything is great, have you settled in great?
