"Jay found out that I'm trying to push him away. He's so quick witted," I sighed while looking out the window. We're currently on our way to Disneyland for that double date of ours. "He looked really hurt... I felt so bad."
"It might be awkward today then." Jake tapped on the steering wheel.
"Exactly, and I'm getting very nervous... we haven't seen or talked to each other since that day." I shared to my boyfriend and he immediately understood.
Once we finally got there, Jake and I got our passes and waited for the couple to arrive by the entrance. Minutes later, they got there looking so great together. I felt a bit intimidated and self conscious, since people kept staring at our friend group. It must be because of Elle.
"Hey! You're Ally, right? Jay talks about you a lot, so I've always wanted to meet you. I'm Elle." She gave me a big hug and it was very welcoming. She seems like such a sweet girl- I felt relieved and very happy for Jay.
"Nice to meet you too!" I hugged back and gave her a smile. "By the way, this is Jake. My boyfriend."
"Hello!" They shook hands and we finally went inside the amusement park. Jay still hasn't said anything to me, and I totally understand.
We got FastPasses, so we didn't have to wait two hours for every ride. The first ride we went on was Splash Mountain, which was pretty dumb of us. We already got so wet and it's only the morning. Definitely did not plan this out correctly.
We then went on the Haunted Mansion ride, and it was actually more cute than scary... but oh well, Disneyland is kid appropriate. We rode a couple more sit through rides after that, then decided to finally eat something for lunch.
I had a Monte Cristo Sandwich (basically ham and cheese, but deep fried). It was very good and I wanted another serving, but I'm pretty sure I'd throw up on a ride. We then had funnel cakes for dessert, and it was loaded. It's just the perfect combination of everything, and my tastebuds were very satisfied.
"Take a bite." Jay took a spoonful of funnel cake and held it up against Elle's mouth. She didn't eat much and was very careful with what she ate, probably because of her modelling contract. At the end, she gave up and let Jay feed her.
They look really cute together...
However, I can definitely see the gap. One of them is more in love than the other. Jay's the one that's been hit, and I've been noticing that all day. Although, she's trying really hard... so I give her that.
Elle's phone suddenly rang and she picked it up without any hesitation. Her face suddenly dropped, and she stared at us in utter embarrassment.
"I'm so sorry... the agency called me and I have a sudden meeting. I'll try to make it up to you guys next time, I just really need to go now." She explained to us.
"It's okay, you don't have to feel bad. Do you want me to drop you off?" Jay asked and she shook her head.
"The company driver's on his way here. Don't worry about it." She gave Jay a quick peck on the lips and he kissed back. Oh... so they've kissed before.
"Babe, can I come over after work? I'll buy you some food here, then bring it over to your dorm later." He cupped her face and she smiled.
"I'd love that." She gave him another peck on the cheek before leaving.
I take back what I said earlier. There's no gap between them- they both seem very in love. I need to get over it.
I constantly tell Jay to back off, since he keeps fiddling with my relationship... now I feel like I'm doing the same thing, and it's making me a hypocrite.
"Did you hear what I said?" Jake put his arms around my waist, but I wasn't really paying attention. I just nodded and pretended.
"Yes..." I stared into his eyes until I drowned into them.
"I love you." He repeated.
