Dinner

I was walking through the aisles with the grocery basket looking for some seasoning, while Gray was getting the chicken breast. We decided that we were going to have dinner at his house and that it will be my second time spending a night. I found the seasoning and started to put lavender, fennel, sage, tarragon, garlic. The next thing I need to get is some Olive Oil. I personally don't like to use any other types of oil because I feel they aren't healthy. I use Olive Oil for food and sometimes for other stuff.

I saw Gray walking towards me with the packaged chicken breast. I push the basket towards him and he had put the chicken breast in there. "So what's next on the list?" he asked me. "Aspergers, lemon, and white potatoes," I told him. "Ok!" he said walking to the section they were all in. I followed him because those were the last things we needed to get.

As we were walking I saw a bunch of women that we had passed by checking Gray out. I felt my heart sting a little bit just watching them do it. I don't like the feeling of this. I had my ups and downs about dating Gray because he was a stripper. I have to learn along the way that I have to get used to girls drooling over him. The fact of the matter is loyalty. He doesn't seem to be paying any attention to them which was a relief.

I guess he was really telling the truth about not showing any interest in women that go for his looks. I honestly feel kinda bad for him. I wouldn't like it if someone just saw me as a one night stand. We finally made it to the section where they had the fruits and vegetables. Gray just started grabbing all the remaining stuff on the list. I just followed him along the way so he wouldn't have to walk back and forth.

He had put the potatoes in the basket and said "I think that's everything!" he told me. "Yes it is, lets get in line," I smiled at him as he smiled back. We started to head towards the shortest line or at least a line that didn't have that much food in their basket. To my surprise, there weren't that many people in line. Which is good because I didn't want to stay in line.

We had got in the line where you can scan your own food since that was the quickest one. People were scanning their foods very quickly. Gray and I were up next and he kindly had scanned everything. I was pulling my wallet out so I could pay for the food, but he had reached his hand out towards me. "Don't worry Lucy, I got this!" he said pulling his wallet out. "It's okay, I can pay since you paid the last time," I told him. "No it's cool!" he said. He pulled out his card and paid for the food.

Both of us were walking out of the store to his car that wasn't too far from here. "So what are we making today?" he asked me. "I don't know, I just put some food combinations I saw in a video that I knew how to cook," I giggled. "Doesn't seem bad, it sounds like it's going to taste good," he smirked. "Let's hope!" I said as we made it to his car. He unlocked it and I opened one of the side doors and grabbed all the groceries. Gray took the basket back while I waited for him. Once again I saw women checking him out. He was casually walking back towards me but I looked away.

I just got in the car and watched him make his way to the driver's seat. Gray started the car and drove out of the parking lot towards his house. During the drive it was quiet, we didn't say anything to each other. It felt weird for me because I'm usually a talkative person. I decided to start it off with a little light talking. "So the weather today, it's cold!" I said trying to make conversation. I had to think back to what I just said and I just wanted to kill myself. The weather, I could have come up with something better than the weather. Now he's going to think I'm low on being social.

"Yeah it's cold outside thankfully," he said agreeing thankfully. At least he didn't seem awkward out about the starting statement. "Thankfully?" I questioned him. "Yeah because winter is my favorite season. I don't really like the other seasons because it's too hot," he said with his eyes still focus on the road. "Even: fall?" I questioned him. "Fall would be my second favorite season because it's the second coldest season in a year," he simply said. "Oh!" I was a little bit surprised. "What about you, what're your favorite seasons?" he asked me. "Mines are a bit much of the opposite of yours; I like spring and summer because all the colors are so pretty and it's optional on what you want to do," I felt my face heat up a bit.
