Empowering Feyre

This is a little bit like the choice thing, but different too.

In ACOMAF, it's pretty clear that Tamlin wants to be the one to protect Feyre. He wants to do everything for her, and lock her in the house because he thinks he's doing it for her and her safety. During those scenes in ACOMAF, I felt somewhat suffocated while reading. (which also goes to show how good of a writer SJM is) He locked her in that house, wanting to protect her. (from what, exactly?) He thought training her would send a 'message' to other courts if I'm remembering correctly.

Rhysand, my darling, my love, the High Lord of the Night Court, made sure Feyre could defend herself, so he wouldn't have to defend her. He trained her, so she could take care of herself, not giving a rat's butt what other courts would think. Technically, the other courts wouldn't get to know, but still. They could have taken measures for the other courts not to find out in the Spring Court too, but they didn't. Because Tamlin didn't want Feyre trained, for whatever reason. I don't know how many times I've said this, but Rhys wanted Feyre to be able to defend herself, while Tamlin did not

Tamlin wanted Feyre under his control, while Rhys drilled into her brain that she was her own person, who belonged to no one.
