Midoriya's view

The day was looking brighter already.. our teacher back on his feet and our class whole once more. I hurried over to my friends as we started to move out of the classroom in search of a way to get to the lower floors, Midnight at the head of the group while All Might and Mr. Aizawa were bringing up the rear, leaving us students smushed in the middle. We were quietly walking along, my arm brushing against Kacchan's, making him turn and start to grumble about how I needed to watch where i was going. I quickly looked forward again, noticing Ochako dragging her feet at the front of the group, seeming to glance back and sneak stares at someone in the back end of the group. Poor Ochako.. she must feel horrible for what happened to Mr. Aizawa.. but it's not her fault..!! We are under lots of stress right now! My train of thought was broken was a single zombie stumbled into view, the class moving back in a bit of shock. " It's just the one.. I should be able to knock it back and keep it down.." Midnight called as she grunted, lifting a chunk of debris which left us students shocked. She may look fragile and not all that strong, but she was carrying that giant rock with ease!! It was at least 90 pounds!! " N-No wait! I'll help!!" Ochako called, hurrying past Midnight with her arm outstretched to the zombie. " If I can just help a bit..!" She grunted out before she stopped steps away from the zombie, watching in terror as the zombie's jaw cracked and seemed to dislocate out of it's normal position, my eye getting distracted by a green tag around it's neck. It was a biter. " Ochako-!!" I cried out as I tried to move in front of my classmates who were frozen in fear as they watched the zombie's jaw nearly drop to its chest. " E-eh..?" Ochako whimpered in confusion, the zombie leaning forward for a bite just as Midnight grunted and shoved the giant rock into its mouth, knocking it backwards and using her strength to break a window and shove the zombie toppling to his death. I gave a sigh of relief before I heard a harsh skin on skin sound, looking up to find Ochako holding her cheek as Midnight's hand hovered in the air.. she slapped her... A teacher slapped a student.. " What were you thinking?!! You could have been KILLED!!" Midnight raged, Ochako staring at her in shock and disbelief. " I-I just.. w-wanted to help.. I-I.." Ochako was unable to make a proper sentence, Midnight face flushed red with rage. " We don't know anything about these things!! Not where they came from! How they started! Or how they got into the school, and you want to go play hero!" Midnight scoffed, storming past Ochako and back to the group. " I-Isn't that what we are training to be?! H-Heros!? Someone people can count on!?" Ochako retorted, tears in her eyes as she glared at our female teacher. Midnight stopped in her tracks and started to laugh, turning back to face Ochako with a glare that would silence any villain. " Help me. Help me. I've broken my ankle. Save me little hero. Oh wait. Dead heros can't save anyone." She scowled, the room going silent as Ochako looked at her with disbelief and shock, clearly not wanting that as an answer. " B-But I... M-My dreams.. m-my family.." Ochako sputtered softly to herself as Midnight snapped her fingers to grab our attention, pointing at the space in front of her. " Let's go. Fall back in line Missy." Midnight called, our group hurrying along and passing Ochako, most of us looking away in shame and a few girls helping her back into the group. It was a long day indeed..

Eri's view
Before the outbreak

My head hurts.. and I feel hot all the time.. my tummy aches too.. papa Mic said I'm sick but I don't like being sick.. I feel tired.. and heavy.. and can't sleep through nap time.. I was in bed, waiting for papa mic to bring me a snack from the bakery in town after dropping off Sleepy dad since they were having a sale on my banana bread, my favorite..! There was a lot of noise coming from outside.. it sounded like we had company..! Ah.. but papa and dad say I can't see company or I'll get them sick too.. I snuggled back in my sheets when I heard a car pull into the driveway, but.. it didn't sound nice.. it didn't come to a smooth stop.. it sounded like the cars on TV after they go too fast and hit the brakes.. suddenly there was keys jingling at the door and a desperate knock on the door. " Eri!! Eri honey, it's me!! Can you let me in!" Papa mic called in a worried voice.. what if it was the mean dog from down the street!! What if he was trying to steal my bread!! I hurried out of bed, wheezing as I unlocked the door and climbed the arm of the couch to reach the top latch. The door flew open and then shut, papa mic immediately locking the door but didn't have any bread with him. " Papa? What's wrong..?" I asked as I held his hands that were trembling so much that I could probably have a spider bite his hand, and they wouldn't be able to shake as much. " E-Eri honey, come on we have to go." Papa mic said sternly as he picked me up, hurrying to my room and giving me a backpack, telling me to pack some clothes and shoes while he got food. I did as I was told, trying not to cough up a lung as I stuffed what I could in my bag. After a few minutes, harsh knocks came at the door, making papa mic hurry over to me and take my hand, leading me to the bathroom and locking the door before he started to pull on a string in the corner of the room that led up to the attic, a ladder sliding down till it hit the floor " H-honey we need to go up here now. " he said sternly, starting to use some sort of chain to chain the door handle to a metal pipe on the wall that normally held towels. I trembled and hurried up the ladder to find a room that was almost like a secret base.. except dusty.. I coughed and coughed, my chest tightening as I found it harder and harder to breathe, my vision going fuzzy as I wobbled to the nearest wall, lifting my eyes to see a window a bit bigger than I was but it wasn't the fact that I was falling face first to the floor that made me cry out.. it was the half dead bodies that were somehow making their way to my house.. to my neighbors house.. to any house they could.. and no one was stopping them.. and even worse..? Dad didn't take his car to work.. Dad didn't have a way home.. the last thing I remember.. is the sound of breaking glass..

POV: Unknown.
Before the outbreak

My shoes were loud against the tile floor, the sharp taps and my uneven breaths a perfect face of panic yet calm as I hurried away from my lab, my coworkers looking at me in confusion as I headed to the elevators. My lab was connected to another part of the building that did research and tests, so it wasn't uncommon for someone to hurry out past the doors to escape fowl smells or to hurry and deliver ground breaking information. I clutched my lab coat closer, begging a god or whatever people believe in, that they wouldn't notice my limp. That they wouldn't notice my disheveled appearance. That they didn't hear the screams from a few minutes ago. That they didn't see the blood on my coat. That they didn't notice that my coat was inside out. That no one stopped me on my way. I had just touched the buttons to an elevator when the first scream sounded. Good. Let them fall while I get situated. Everyone is going to run over there. That will give me more than enough time to save my own skin. I stepped into the room and locked it with a master key I carried, unfazed as the screams grew and panic started to arise. It was just three failed nomus that didn't want to back down. I was a scientist. I wasn't some thick headed mili officer. I flinched out of my thoughts as a coworker of mine banged her hand onto the small window of bullet proof glass. " Help me!!" Abby sobbed, leaving a bloody handprint as she was yanked away, the sound of her screams cutting short coming a bit later. I sighed as I pushed the button to go up. Abby that bitch. She stole the promotion from me last spring. She was sloppy. And lazy. And horrid. I don't know why they thought she was a good fit for the job. I sighed as I fished my phone out of my coat, calling the highest official around. " Doctor Ling. The nomus you requested are a fail. There is an issue at the lab that needs tending to." I informed him as I made my way to my car, wondering if I ever turned off the pipes that delivered the medicine we were supposed to be testing. " Yes yes. We tried it on a human and the rest nomus as you asked. Yes. We found that they are quirk resistant. I.. yes sir I suppose your right. This is a success. Nomus infused with quirk resistant bullets, making any quirk that touched them melt off." I groaned as I returned to the conversation, just wanting to get home and bathe.

Aizawa's view

We were finally resting in a classroom for the day, exhausted from a long day of tension and travelling. After Ochako's stunt, everyone was on edge, worrying that their friend was just as blind to the consequences and suicidal. " These poor kids.." I whispered softly as I watched them break off into their normal groups.. Todoroki, Shinso, Kaminari and Midoriya sticking especially close to each other as they tried to calm their nerves. Kaminari played with his thumbs nervously as he glanced at the door, seemingly be worried something would break in. Midoriya did his best to calm him as Shinso quietly opened up about how he was feeling and what he wanted for the future. These students had came so far in such a short period of time.. some watched loved ones leave this world.. others felt the burden of not being able to protect their friends.. I gave a soft groan as I pulled out my phone, the battery at 46% and only with a few bars of service, but it was enough to have a phone call.. I scrolled threw my recent calls, trying to ignore all the calls that went unreturned and unanswered, slowly selecting ' DJ Mic'. God I wish I didn't love that man as much as I did... I held the phone to my ear, expecting it to ring and ring to no answer just like it had every other day.. but just as I was about to hang up, the call was answered. " H-Hello..?" I whispered shakily, hope flying into my chest. Grunts and growls met my ears as my heart plummeted.. they didn't pick up. . They're.. " w-wake up..!" A voice begged so faintly on the other line that I wasn't able to tell if I was imagining it.. but was a girl talking.. but it wasn't Eri.. " H-hello!! Who's there!!" I called into my phone, a few students seeing I got service and immediately called home, most met with voicemails. " H-Hello..? G-get help!!!" The voice called out before it sounded like a foot stepped on the phone and broke it. Someone was home..? Someone was alive..? Or.. someone ransacked the house and took the phone.. someone saw there were no survivors and took what they pleased.. no.. no!!! I need to stay positive!! Eri and Mic are waiting for me!! I just have to get home. These kids need to get home. We are UA high. And we will claim victory. We will overcome this tragedy and show the world how strong we are. We will let our wings soar. The sky is the limit.
